Sleeping 13 people, this is the perfect property for a group getaway of family or friends. Enjoy the proximity to canals and walking routes around Brecon Beacons National Park.
This magnificent converted barn sleeps up to 13 guests and three canine pals, making it perfect for large family gatherings and holidays with friends. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dog walks in the area, with the beautiful long-distance Taff Trail running right past the property. There are some wonderful dog-friendly attractions in the Brecon Beacons National Park, including the Brecon Mountain Railway where you can step back in time on a vintage steam locomotive.
The impressive barn exudes charm, with large wooden beams running across the ceiling and gorgeous exposed stonework adorning the walls. The vast lounge has ample room for everyone, including the dogs, to find their own little spot to relax. Here you can sink into the sumptuous sofas in front of the roaring wood burner. There’s also a small snug where you can curl up with a good book or the hounds can retreat if all the socialising gets a bit much. Tuck into tasty homecooked meals at the big dining room table, or head out to the large enclosed lawn at the rear of the property where your canine chums can play, whilst you enjoy a spot of al fresco dining overlooking the Brecon Beacons and Pen y Fan.
The Taff Trail is a fantastic way for you and the pups to see the Brecon Beacons. The long-distance route, which is largely traffic free, runs from Brecon to Cardiff, following the river through pretty Welsh villages and spectacular mountainous scenery. A journey on the Brecon Mountain Railway can be enjoyed by everyone – climb aboard in Pant, just north of Merthyr Tydfil (23 miles). Step back in time on one of the restored vintage steam locomotives and chug your way through the National Park, high into the mountains and past the most breathtaking reservoirs.
