This charming courtyard barn conversion sleeps eight guests and welcomes two dogs; it’s the perfect rural retreat for large family gatherings and vacations with friends. The location is ideal for exploring the fabulous coastlines of Cornwall (there are endless walks to get tails wagging and ears flapping!), as well as the stunning scenery of Bodmin Moor, and the quaint little market and seaside towns and villages that make this corner of the country so unique.
You’ll have plenty of room in this characterful property to spread out during your stay. There’s a spacious hallway to store all your dog-walking gear, and the wooden floors throughout are ideal if muddy paws accidentally escape into the living area! There are steps down into a cosy lounge, which houses an open fire, and the large kitchen/diner is perfect for entertaining. Your canine companions will be delighted to discover the enclosed garden and will be even more thrilled to learn that the property is set within 110 acres, with enticing trails to sniff and streams to splash in. The complex of properties shares a seasonal outdoor heated saltwater swimming pool, tennis courts, games room and handy utility room. Due to the current situation the games room will not be available. Tennis racquets and balls will be available for use on the tennis courts but guests are asked to bring their own where possible.
Cornwall is walking territory, so you’ll never be short of places to go with your beloved hound. The Camel Trail, which takes you through some of the region’s most gorgeous green leafy scenery, is mostly flat and you can join at Bodmin, just 13.5 miles away. Cardinham Woods, again near Bodmin, makes for a lovely day out. It has four walking trails, as well as play and picnic areas and a cosy cafe serving tasty homemade food. Another great group activity is a trip to Bodmin and Wenford Railway, to experience the excitement and nostalgia of steam travel. Dogs are welcome on all the service trains.
