Renovated in 2017 complete with hot tub, this property is all on one level and benefits from stunning sea views. Many fine beaches adorn the coastline making this the perfect holiday home.
This two-bedroom holiday home with beautiful sea views is on the edge of the village of Poughill, just 2 miles from Bude and its dog-friendly sandy beaches, in a lovely part of North Cornwall.
The hallway of the property has space for walking boots, dog leads and coats, and leads out to the lounge/diner with TV, whose wide doors open out to a view of the Atlantic in the distance. Cook up some delicious local produce from the many farm shops within a 10-mile radius in the well-equipped kitchen while your canine companion snoozes after a busy day frolicking on the beach. Later, unwind in the hot tub while enjoying the sea view from the garden with decking. The washer and dryer are in the laundry shed and off-road parking is available for two cars.
The property is just 2 miles from Bude, with its range of shops and restaurants, and there’s also a variety of mostly-level canal walks through Bude. The dog-friendly beach of Summerleaze at Bude has a sea pool if you want to enjoy the water without the waves - it’s overlooked by the 19th-century Bude castle that welcomes dogs to its grounds and into the café. From Bude, you can access the well-marked South West Coast Path and it’s a relaxing 3-mile cliff walk to the wide, sandy, dog-friendly Widemouth beach, going through remnants of prehistoric forests and past waterfalls with sweeping views across the Atlantic towards Lundy Island. The magical ruins of Tintagel are 19 miles south of Bude. At Tintagel you can explore the local Arthurian connections and go for wag-tastic walks past abandoned slate mines and down to a cave on the beach said to be the home of Merlin the magician – an enchanting place for four-legged and two-legged visitors!
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
