This small but perfectly formed cottage is the ideal choice for a romantic getaway, with its character charm, private patio and beautiful shared garden

Located in the village of Kilkhampton, this property is within easy reach of the centre of the village and two popular pubs, the perfect way to complete one of the five parish walks accessible from the doorstep. The popular coastal village of Clovelly is nearby, boasting cobbled streets, white cottages and a picturesque harbour. Laid-back Bude is also within easy reach and is the perfect spot for a picnic on the beach or a bracing clifftop walk.

Inside, this property offers a home-from-home feel, with warm décor, exposed beams and an open-plan layout. In the kitchen area you will find an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, microwave and handy breakfast bar, with the use of a laundry room. In the evenings, unwind beside the flame-effect electric fire while making the most of the Smart TV & DVD player. There are two bedrooms in this property, one double and one single, perfect for a young child. The bedrooms are cosy and welcoming with exposed beams and pretty garden views from the single bedroom, the property benefits from a shower room and upstairs a separate WC. The owners can offer babysitting on request if you’re thinking of having a romantic evening out.

Patio doors open from the living area to a private fenced patio area. With garden furniture and a BBQ, this picturesque spot is perfect for enjoying an al fresco meal or drink at the end of a busy day exploring the local area. Guests also have access to the owner’s large secluded garden, which comes complete with sun loungers, free-range hens, a summerhouse, trampoline and an adjoining paddock with ponies. There is also storage for bicycles and surfboards available, as well as off-road parking for one car.

Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.

When we arrived we were greeted by mr and mrs strong. They made us feel very at home. The cottage was ideal for us as as we had a toddler. The cottage was very clean and tidy and the beds were extremley comfortable. Nice to have fresh eggs daily and was perfect walking distance to the shops, pubs and takeaways within the village.

Lovely cottage and had everything we needed with a great location close to bude. The new summer house was loved by our toddler and she enjoyed seeing the chickens in their run. The property had good wifi so we could watch netflixs on the TV in the evenings as well
