Boasting mesmerising views across dense woodland in the tranquil hamlet of Pont, this enchanting hideaway is a big draw for keen walkers and nature lovers. It occupies an elevated spot looking out towards the water’s edge at Pont Creek, which provides plenty of sights and sounds to keep tails wagging and ears pricked up. Feel buoyed up by the property’s sunny and vibrant decor as you fuel up with a pre-walkies coffee at the breakfast bar or watch TV from the comfy sofa. The open-plan living area is spread out across the first floor to make the most of the views. Evenings can be spent dining alfresco on the large decked terrace area while admiring the treetop view or stargazing through the telescope in the conservatory. The bedrooms are spread over two floors, with two on the first floor and three on the ground floor, which means you can always be close to your beloved pets to help them settle. You’ll also have a good choice of bathrooms, with free-standing baths providing luxurious bubble-filled soaks.
For a change of pace from the serenity of the creek, head to Fowey for a sniff around this well-heeled port town. If you’re seeking sun, sea and sand, the dog-friendly Lantic Bay is ideal for picnics and games of fetch. Further afield, the Eden Project (14 miles) has miles of pathways to explore, while National Trust property Lanhydrock (15 miles) welcomes those with wagging tails in its parkland and cafes.
