Enjoy walks with the woofer from your doorstep, including the enchanting route to Lumsdale Falls. The cottage is just 10 miles from Chatsworth House. Pack a picnic and spend a lazy afternoon pottering around its impressive park and gardens.

The stylish open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is warm and inviting, thanks to the snuggly gas wood burner-effect fire and comfy sofa. There’s also a handy space for storing all your dog-walking gear. Downstairs, the chic bedroom has a floor-to-ceiling window and there’s a truly magnificent bathroom with a gorgeous freestanding bath that’s ideal for sinking into after a walk with the hound. Outside, fire up the BBQ and relax in the enclosed courtyard whilst Rover rests his weary legs after an action-packed day of exploring.
The 1-mile stroll to Lumsdale Falls is perfect for the pup on a hot day, thanks to the cooling waterfalls and pools. Don’t forget your camera – around every corner, there’s a photo opportunity! If you and the furball have a head for heights, journey to Heights of Abraham (4.5 miles away). You can take dogs on the cable cars and soar over the Derwent Valley and enjoy a stroll around the hilltop estate (just note that dogs are not permitted in the caverns). The picturesque market town of Bakewell makes a lovely day out (10.5 miles away). It’s incredibly walker and dog friendly, with pubs and cafes welcoming muddy boots and paws. Potter around the characterful cottages and marvel at the architecture of its wonderful old buildings.
