Set tails wagging with a family staycation on the cusp of the Northumberland Coastline, based in the historic market town of Alnwick. Tucked within the cobbled streets and impressive architecture, this elegant three-storey townhouse is an enchanting setting for your adventures, boasting comfortable relaxing spots and three delightful bedrooms to sleep five humans and three hounds. Spend your days exploring the impressive castle or padding along cliff-top trails, refuelling with a hearty lunch at a welcoming inn.

 

Beneath the charming exterior is a stylish property with retro-style decor and plenty of comfortable spaces to unwind with a glass of wine in hand. Cook up a storm in the kitchen, transforming local ingredients and artisan produce into feasts fit for the entire pack. Rest weary paws and play a few games in the lounge area, or snuggle up for family film nights with giant bowls of buttery popcorn. When the day is done, head upstairs for a soak in the generous family bathroom before retiring for the night in one of the gorgeous bedrooms. The second floor houses a wonderful master bedroom with a handy en-suite shower room, a tempting treat after a busy day. Outside there is a shared courtyard and there is a free car park close by subject to availability.

 

Your sea dog will adore splashing in the waves of Alnmouth beach, 5 miles away, whilst the children play games and build sandcastles on the golden sand. For those with a keen interest in history, Bamburgh Castle is within 17 miles, but you can also visit the ruins of a 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle 7 miles away. There’s also plenty on your doorstep to see such as the Alnwick Gardens of Harry Potter fame, known for the beautiful water fountains and eerie poison garden.

Lovely townhouse in the centre of Alnwick, ideal location for exploring the area. The house is very well equipped, I would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Town Square House. The location is perfect and in the centre of Alnwick, a perfect base to travel around the area and coastline. The accommodation was great and the beds were comfortable - always important. The amount of stairs may not suit those with mobility issues but we were fine with them.

The property is in a fantastic location. You need to be pretty active to negotiate all the stairs.

Our holiday let was perfect. It was clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable, modern shower and bathroom facilities, and the kitchen had everything you need. The location was also perfect, a two-minute walk from the bus station and Morrison's supermarket, and a two-minute walk in the other direction to the town-square. Ideal location but Certainly not suitable for a young family, I understand the need for fire doors but with 2 children under 6 plus two small dogs, one which is very anxious they werent ideal, On one occasion the dog get trapped in the door! Great central location. Enjoyed access to local restaurants and attractions. Loved the dog walk in front of the castle. Worth walking down for the views. Comfortable and maintained nicely. We had a few niggles but spoke with the management team. Enjoyed using the communal outdoor space for lunches.

Beautifully restored comfortable flat on 3 levels. 2 very modern bathrooms , comfortable beds. Central location. Only reservation was there was no mattress protector on one bed. Probably just an oversight . A lot of stairs for anyone elderly or disabled

Could not fault the cottage in any way One problem however was that because of the heavy rain during 15/16 July, we were kept awake for much of the night because of a constant dripping noise outside the house - we did report it the next morning, and had immediate positive response that a roofer would come to check where the drip was coming from andRead more repair it - this meant that during the day, Monday, 17 July, we could not travel too far as we had to await a call regarding the situation Hide

We had a pleasant stay at 1 Paikes Street which is centrally located, with lots of free parking close-by. The home was welcoming and a good size for the three of us and the beds very comfortable. Its an old townhouse over three floors, starting on the first floor, so bear this in mind if you have anyone with any mobility issues and, while the houseRead more welcomes pets which is great, it was a real pain going up and down the stairs to let out.
