Set tails wagging with a family staycation on the cusp of the Northumberland Coastline, based in the historic market town of Alnwick. Tucked within the cobbled streets and impressive architecture, this elegant three-storey townhouse is an enchanting setting for your adventures, boasting comfortable relaxing spots and three delightful bedrooms to sleep six humans and three hounds. Spend your days exploring the impressive castle or padding along cliff-top trails, refuelling with a hearty lunch at a welcoming inn.

Beneath the charming exterior is a stylish property with retro-style decor and plenty of comfortable spaces to unwind with a glass of wine in hand. Cook up a storm in the kitchen, transforming local ingredients and artisan produce into feasts fit for the entire pack. Rest weary paws and play a few games in the lounge area, or snuggle up for family film nights with giant bowls of buttery popcorn. When the day is done, head upstairs for a soak in the generous family bathroom before retiring for the night in one of the gorgeous bedrooms. The second floor houses a wonderful master bedroom with a handy en-suite shower room, a tempting treat after a busy day. Outside, the shared courtyard has a BBQ for al fresco suppers, and there is a free car park close by subject to availability.

Your sea dog will adore splashing in the waves of Alnmouth beach, 5 miles away, whilst the children play games and build sandcastles on the golden sand. For those with a keen interest in history, Bamburgh Castle is within 17 miles, but you can also visit the ruins of a 14th-century Dunstanburgh Castle 7 miles away. There’s also plenty on your doorstep to see such as the Alnwick Gardens of Harry Potter fame, known for the beautiful water fountains and eerie poison garden.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely property, great bedrooms and bathrooms. Beautifully decorated. The lounge was large enough for the three of us, but would be very cramped with more than four adults. Very convenient location - just around the corner from some good eateries. As we are three healthcare workers - two nurses and a paramedic - we accepted that we paid the same prRead moreice for our five (5) nights as we would have for a week. We really needed our break. Lovely property, wonderfully located and very homely and comfortable. Lots of steps so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The contact person was very good and easily contactable if you have any issues or queries - would recommend for great holiday.

The property is not suitable for 6 people, there is little storage for clothing, there is no room to speak of to sit and enjoy each others company, the table in the kitchen is too big for the area and there is little room to sit around it. The description of the property is misleading, as you do not open the front door into a living space, you needRead more to climb stairs. We booked this property to enjoy our silver wedding anniversary and I was unable to invite my mother due to the number of stairs. Hide

Good location for exploring the local area. Pubs and eateries close by. Comfortable beds and nice quirky touches. Very helpful owner and a prompt visit from the handay man! Lots of stairs as the property is on three floors - entrance is a staircase to main living area then bedrooms a further two levels up. Nice enclosed garden area.

Fantastic location. Right in the heart of Alnwick town centre. Most pubs/restraunts/shops are no more than a minutes walk away. Market Sq is a stones throw. Alnwick is bursting with an array of independent shops and eateries. The accommodation appears to be newly refurbished and finished to a high standard. Lots of little quality/caring touches lefRead moret by the owner. We will definitely be looking to stop here again on our next visit. Impeccably clean, we can't rate this property highly enough. Great property in a perfect location for exploring Northumberland. In the centre of Alnwick, close to shops, bars and restaurants but still quiet and peaceful at night. Lovely townhouse recently renovated, very comfortable and quirky retro styling. We had a fabulous week.
