Pretty cottage located in the chic resort town of Torquay in the beautiful English Riviera, with shops, the beach, restaurants and bars all within walking distance
Close to Torquay’s palm tree-lined seafront, this quaint cottage is the perfect escape for your entire family, not forgetting your furry friends! By day, explore the many dog-friendly beaches South Devon boasts, or journey along the famous South West Coast Path, and at night snuggle in your cosy home-away-from-home, where you’ll find beds for up to three pups. In fact, with bowls and doggy towels to help wipe those sandy paws, the owners have remembered pretty much everything, so you’ll feel instantly welcome.
The property, accessed via an external flight of stairs leading to the front door, is homely and comfortable. Spend your evenings relaxing in the open-plan lounge/diner beside the gas-effect fire, where you can literally let sleeping dogs lie. A sunroom provides an extra dining space, while outside on the enclosed private patio amongst the picturesque planters, you’ll find a spot that’s perfect for an al fresco dinner, or simply your morning coffee while you let the dogs stretch their legs.
With the elegant air of a Mediterranean resort, Torquay offers an array of things to see and do. Take it easy as you relax at a chic pavement cafe watching the world go by or jump aboard the ferry to visit Brixham across the bay (an 8-mile drive by car). No visit to South Devon is complete though without taking Rover and the gang to nearby Dartmoor, just 14.5 miles west, where they’ll enjoy plenty of open space to run and play or even a dip in the river! Devon’s top beauty spot, Becky Falls Woodland Park (19 miles), offers a fun day out for the whole family too, with breathtaking walks and a huge variety of wildlife to spot.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
