Set in a secluded location, this vast property is perfect for a large family getaway exploring the magnificent Scottish countryside, whilst still only 15 miles from Inverness.

Holiday like royalty at this palatial property in the Scottish Highlands. This 17th-century luxury house sleeps up to 15 people (plus two dogs) so is ideal for a special family celebration – perhaps a landmark birthday or wedding anniversary. Spend happy days playing croquet on the huge lawn, having singalongs at the piano or baking delicious treats in the four-oven Aga. Your pets will go mutts for the sociable atmosphere and the acres of space. The spectacular Caingorms National Park (15 miles) offers hundreds of miles of rivers, forest paths and mountain trails for you to sniff out with your pets.

 

This mansion is decorated in a sumptuous style, with a rich colour scheme, plush soft furnishings and tasteful vintage furniture. In the spacious lounge there's plenty of sofa and armchair space for everyone to gather and give your pups all the attention they deserve. In keeping with a house of this stature, there's also a drawing room with a large bay window, an impressive dining room, a play room and a butler's pantry. Many of the rooms have open fires for keeping you and the dogs warm throughout cooler times of the year.

 

The house is in a secluded spot on the River Findhorn – great for morning riverside walks with the dogs where (if they're quiet) you may spot osprey, otters and deer. The Cairngorms form your holiday playground for hill walks and hikes that the dogs will adore. The world-famous Loch Ness is just 20 miles away – we're sure your four-pawed friends will let you know if there's any sign of the legendary monster. For an urban day out, head north to Inverness (16 miles) and have a look around the Victorian Market, where dogs are welcome in most of the shops. After a leisurely lunch, take your pets for a well-deserved run in Culloden Woods (15.5 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
