This stunning farmhouse in rural Devon is a fantastic property for family, friends and their four-legged friends to spend quality time together. The beautiful setting allows you to escape the hectic pace of everyday life and enjoy peaceful, countryside walks from your doorstep. Formally two farmhouses that have now been joined to create one property, there is plenty of space to ensure everyone can relax and switch off. As well as its rural location, it also has the advantage of being close to the rugged Atlantic Coast, with the seaside town of Bude only 10 miles away.
Lovingly renovated and decorated, the traditional features and furniture blend seamlessly with the contemporary neutral tones and modern touches. Two comfortable lounges, both with inglenook fireplaces and wood burners, allow your party to split accordingly but you can reunite in the large kitchen/diner for mealtimes. The bedrooms are all wonderfully spacious and with two bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor and the other four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs, everyone is catered for. Hard floors throughout mean you don’t have to worry about muddy pawprints on the carpet. Outside, there’s a patio area and enclosed garden, so sit back whilst the children and dogs explore.
Bude is a fantastic seaside town with a choice of beaches, shops and eateries. It has something for everyone: boats to hire on the canal, a children’s play park and a mini-golf course. You can also join the South West Coast Path from here where your pooches will love the feeling of the wind in their fur as they explore hidden coves and bays along the coast. Heading north towards Morwenstow, you may even stumble across the National Trust’s smallest property, Hawker’s Hut. It’s so small that your dog may mistake it for a kennel.
