One of two delightful holiday homes in a glorious rural setting, just a stone’s throw from Exmoor National Park.

This superb cottage, situated just 4.5 miles from pretty town Dulverton, is perfect for a family getaway – including the loyal canine, of course! Sleeping four across two cosy and welcoming bedrooms, you could soon all be out enjoying the beautiful scenery around Exmoor National Park, including the Tarr Steps and Bronze Age clapper bridge (5.5 miles). And when it’s time to come home, rest up from the long day of exploration in the garden, surrounded by stunning views across 20 acres of land.

The reverse-level property, which is one of two homes nestled at the end of a long private driveway, has a quaint country-cottage style. The kitchen and dining area has a traditional style that makes it a pleasure to sit an eat breakfast in in the mornings, while exposed beams and inviting sofas in the lounge invite you to sink back in front of the wood burner with the pup by your feet, looking out at the country views. Downstairs on the lower ground floor, the bedrooms have calming and neutral decor that promotes a perfect night’s sleep.

As the property is located on the edge of Exmoor, you’ve got access to some of the most beautiful woodland walks just 4 miles from your door. But if you fancy going a bit further, Dunster Castle (19 miles) is situated in the north of the National Park and offers a great day out for kids and dogs. Your hounds will love Blue Anchor beach (21.5 miles) and hunt for fossils or get involved at the Tiverton Railway Centre (17.5 miles) and clip tickets or wave the flag to see off the historic trains.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfect property and location for a family Christmas. High standard accommodation with literally everything required for a stress free week away from home- (my Nan was concerned about us cooking Christmas lunch in a strange kitchen)- only thing missing was the sprouts I forgot to buy. This was our first time away at Christmas- wont be the last.

A wonderful setting for this lovely barn conversion, surrounded by uninterrupted views of the countryside with only sheep for company. So quiet and restful, and the dogs loved the freedom it gave them. Great walking country with plenty of scope for exploring.
