A traditional period property with many retained original features, perfect for families and friends seeking a comfortable base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park.
Close to the peaks of the Brecon Beacons National Park, rally the troops – including the pup – and make yourselves at home in this pretty cottage. A great base from which to explore, the local village of Llanfrynach has a plethora of trails to hop onto and has plenty of places at which you can stock up on tasty treats. When you’ve adventured the day away, return home and curl up by the wood burner for a relaxing evening of tummy tickles.
After a day in the National Park, head straight for the lounge and chuck a log on the wood burner. As heat fills the room, sprawl out and enjoy a stroke or lap up the warmth as you tune into your favourite TV programme. With a door leading to the courtyard, step outside and sip a morning mug of coffee whilst your dog stretches his legs and insists that you join him outside. Step down into the kitchen where sleek surfaces welcome treat jars and provisions so you can fill hungry tummies as they begin to rumble. Plate up either inside at the dining table, where you can compete at one of many board games stacked up to entertain you, or dine alfresco and make the most of sunny evenings. A ground-floor shower room provides the perfect place to towel down wet fur, whilst the first-floor family bathroom allows you to soak in the tub. Four bedrooms complete the first floor where you must take care around the sloping ceilings.
Throw on a lead, pack the treats and head straight from your door for a stroll. Follow the winding River Menasgin for a waterside walk and a soggy stick chase or follow the trail into the Brecon Beacons for peaks, paddles and panoramic views. An 8-mile trip will take you to Pen-y-Fan, whilst a 6-mile jaunt will take you to Llangorse Lake.
