Set in the seaside cliff-top village of Overstrand, this handsome Victorian cottage is perfectly placed near the quiet beaches of Overstrand, and a short drive from Cromer Beach and pier (2.5 miles) on the North Norfolk coastline. Sleeping six guests and two canine companions, you’re within walking distance of a pub, shop, and village amenities, with spectacular views from the local café - the perfect place to plan a day on the Norfolk Coast Path with faithful friends. There’s off-road parking for one car on-site, plus roadside parking outside.
Step inside to find elegant interiors in calming neutrals with wooden furniture and sumptuous furnishings. Prepare picnics for hungry-brood feasts in the well-equipped kitchen. Relax and dine in the open-plan living and dining room, which features a large bay window, cosy sofas, and a toasty wood burner. After long treks, whistle favourite tunes with your hounds to the sound of the iPod dock. Upstairs, find two bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor; plus a further bedroom with space for a travel cot on the second floor (note the lower ceiling areas here). Outside, there’s a lawned garden and a seated BBQ patio for al fresco dining.
Take a circular patter along the Paston Way, accessed via pathways from Overstrand’s cliff-top to the sandy shores below. Go crabbing on Cromer Pier (2.5 miles) where you’ll also find a cafe, bar, and theatre shows. History buffs should visit Felbrigg Hall, Gardens and Estate (4.5 miles), where dogs on leads are welcome in the parkland, courtyard and tearoom. Or head to Blickling Estate (10.5 miles), a 17th-century Jacobean Hall with 950 acres of dog-friendly woodland and parkland where there’s a plant centre, a second-hand bookshop to browse, and a dog-friendly pub nearby.
