This beautiful barn conversion on a farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds is ready and waiting with open paws for six holidaymakers and two canine companions. Explore the surrounding fields at your leisure along footpaths, bridleways and country lanes; your four-legged friends will enjoy the freedom of the great outdoors while you happen upon any number of picturesque places to picnic.

Your inviting, single-storey holiday home has been designed with your whole group in mind, those with wagging tails included. The generous boot room has ample space for doggy beds as well as pushchairs, coats and wellies. The open-plan living area includes a kitchen with a useful pantry for storing all your supplies, including those special pet treats. A long table is wonderful for family meals and a comfortable seating area, with a wood burner and a TV, offers ample space for those with two and four legs to rest and recuperate after a long day out in the fresh air. Retire to one of three bedrooms as day turns to night. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room while the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. Evenings can also be spent out beside a lit firepit on your private patio area, with your furry friends at your side.

Head into the colourful market town of Alford, just 2 miles away, to find a selection of independent shops as well as dog-friendly cafes and pubs. Further afield, 14 miles away, Hubbard’s Hills at Louth is a great place for lively pets to bound about and for everyone to walk beside the river. Seaside-loving holidaymakers and hounds alike will also enjoy being just 8.5 miles from the Lincolnshire coast, where Sandilands Beach is a particular favourite when it comes to leaving the leash behind.

  • The property is situated on a working farm, whilst it is peaceful, some tractor noise will be heard during the harvest months, (late August to mid September and occasionally at other times, rarely before 9am and hardly ever after 10:30pm) Depending on the harvest there may be a need to run a grain dryer fan which can be noisy but thanks to triple glazing very limited noise can be heard within the property.
  • To allow the farm crops to establish, occasionally there will be bird scarers in use, typically this will be in late autumn and the spring. The bird scarers are not located near the cottage but maybe audible when walking, they do not go off at night. They are blue and orange an located on the edge of a field.
  • Guests are very welcome to walk both the public footpaths and on our field margins. Dog mess must be cleared up within the grass land where our cattle graze. (to prevent  Neospora caninum), while on the rest of the farm land please clean up after your dog if on the footpaths but otherwise your dogs are welcome to enjoy the freedom of the countryside.- The owner has a dog and there may be other dogs waking on the public footpaths
  • During early Spring the cattle with be very  nervous of dogs and it maybe adviseable to not walk dogs in the cattle fields for the safety of you and your pets.
  • Due to the farm animals, guests are politely requested not to let off any fireworks or Chinese lanterns 
  • Dogs and children are not permitted in the working farm yard
  • Lower occupancy rates available on request
  • Electric charging point a type 2 22kW Zappi  It is a rapid 22KW charger and is approx. 50m from The Stables.  It is pin code protected and you will need to bring your own charging cable. There is a weekly charge of £25.00 payable direct to the owner. Please move your car once charged to allow other guest to access the charger.
  • Hot Tub Hire – The owner is happy for guests to arrange hot tub hire for the duration of their stay, guests will need to liaise with the hot tub companies directly, a surcharge of £50.00 will be paybale to the owenr prior to arrival for the use of additional utilities.
  • The property can also be booked with a neighbouring cottage to sleep a maximum of 14 guests
  • Sunday arrivals are not available.

  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

The Stables is very comfortable and is ideal for grandparents/kids and Grandkids. Plenty of space and very well organised with everything you need. The toys came in very handy especially the large dominoes which were used to make car tracks. It is a travel to wherever you are going but the piece and quiet you get from the property is worth it and mRead moreore than makes up a slightly longer travel. Well equipped property with all one needed. Well located for walks on the doorstep, walks in the Wolds or visits to the coast. Owners on site and helpful, walking the field margins of their farm was very useful.

Great accommodation, we stayed as a family of 6 (two kids, two adults and two grandparents) for a long weekend. We had a lovely welcome pack when we arrived and everything we needed for a weekend. There is lots of outdoor space to use and a secure area if you are bringing along a 4-legged friend. We did a long walk from our accommodation using the Read morepublic footpaths and the views are amazing. The only downside is there is no pub within walking distance.... but we knew that before booking. Hide

This cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped, a lovely quiet location but within easy reach of the coast and great countryside walks. We were made to feel welcome and a very nice hamper with treats to eat.

The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. Only thing we needed to take was food and drink. Great enclosed spaces for our dog and lovely walks. Beautifully quiet location. Comfy and cosy with underfloor heating and a log burner. Highly recommend this fantastic cottage with a great host, on hand if needed but not invasive.

This is a wonderful place to stay in The Lincolnshire Wolds. Really peaceful location, but near to amenities in Alford. The owners were attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. Lincoln isn't too far away, and there are plenty of fun things to do nearby! We loved staying here.

This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Beautiful cottage in an ideal location. Great for local walks and scenery. Excellent idea by owners to send all information beforehand. Owners were brilliant and accommodating. Mollie, our dog especially liked the exercise field behind the cottage. Would highly recommend this cottage, very relaxing and tranquil.

Beautifully converted farm building in a great, quiet location. It's surrounded by rights of way but you can also walk around the fields of the owner's family farm. It's extremely dog friendly, even having special flooring by Floors for Paws. We were a last minute booking after the owner of the cottage we'd booked cancelled at 24hrs notice. The stables is a wonderfully renovated property with everything that we needed. As it is all on one level and fully accessible it is great for anyone with mobility issues. The owners gave us a great welcome and we're most helpful. The area where the cottage is is beautiful and great for walking, biking, beaching and is very beautiful.

We had a lovely holiday at The Stables it was very clean, well equipped and well placed to explore the local area. The welcome basket was a nice touch. Our dogs were very welcome with water bowls and enjoyed exploring the local beaches and countryside.

We all loved staying at The Stables. The accommodation was spotless, well equipped and in a great location. Dog enjoyed playing fetch on the large lawn and walks around the edge of the owner's fields. Would definitely like to stay again.

Super spacious accommodation with a cosy woodburner. Perfect for small family groups with dogs. We liked the courtyard off the bedroom. There's a fenced grass area to the front.
