While away the hours in this romantic hideaway, surrounded by Devon’s rolling hills, or wander along sandy beaches with your hounds jumping the waves. Seek out the local cosy pub and share a cream tea in front of the open fire - a welcome water bowl is available for your four-legged friends. Salty mutts can rinse off in the property’s outside dog shower, before curling up by the sumptuous sofas and warming wood burner – Devon heaven. Your closest neighbours are the sheep, chickens and ducks which inhabit the acre of garden shared with the sister property. Four-pawed pals will adore making friends but for the safety of all animals, your companion must stay on their lead.

Located in the quaint village of Littleham, this beautiful barn conversion is light and spacious and full of character. Lying just a step up from the open-plan living area, laze away a cold winter’s day in a king-size bed; on sunnier days, why not sizzle up a sausage on the BBQ and enjoy the shared outdoor area within the grounds of the owner’s home. Take a step up into the homely kitchen and cook up an intimate breakfast for your loved one - home-baked bread, freshly laid eggs and fruit are all available to buy from the owner.

If you can tear yourself away, go and explore the charming streets of the historic port town of Bideford, 4.5 miles away. The rocky shores of Westward Ho! lie 5.5 miles away, offering a vast expanse of space to run free between October and April. Dogs are welcomed 365 days a year by Pebble Ridge Bridge up from the Northam Burrows. Cool off and take a bracing dip in the open water rock sea pool dating back to Victorian times. Brrrrrilliant!

What a find. We will definitely return for a longer stay. Its not often you feel so comfortable and at home so quickly. Sadly we only had time for a quick 2 night break, but settling down on a comfortable sofa, in front of the roaring woodburner was absolutely perfect. Beautiful stay in this cosy cottage, such a peaceful location too, surrounded by beautiful views. Fresh wildflowers and homemade brownies on our arrival gave it a personal touch. Pete and Vicki were amazing when my husband and I had car trouble while staying. Thank you for being so accommodating.
