Stay at this cosy barn conversion in Somerset for a romantic break that doesn’t leave the dogs out. It’s in Williton, a friendly village located between Exmoor National Park and the pretty Quantock Hills – fantastic for lovers of the great outdoors. Head out for beautiful, long walks through the countryside followed by pub dinners and cosy nights in with your loved one and pets. If you’re holidaying with friends, consider renting out the adjacent property which also welcomes two humans and two dogs.

This accommodation has a cosy feel, with attractive features such as wood beams and a vaulted ceiling to add to the atmosphere. Thanks to French doors at one end and a window in the roof, it feels spacious and airy. There’s an open-plan layout with the kitchen, lounge and dining areas all in one space and the bedroom behind a curtain at one end. Outside, you’ll have your own private terrace as well as access to a shared landscaped garden where the dogs can let off some steam.

The house sits within 25 acres of land that includes a river – perfect for taking Buster for long walks before breakfast. In Williton, enjoy a pint in a dog-friendly pub or pick up a stream train to Minehead, a seaside resort 10 miles away. Bridgwater (16.5 miles) is a historic market town with shops to explore and a pretty canal you can wander down. For more stick-throwing terrain, head to the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 23 miles away.

If you're looking for somewhere to get away and relax, this is the place. You can walk to the beach, there's places to visit within a short drive, or you could sit and chill on the sofa and watch the wildlife. Beautiful view from the cottage, and doggy walks from the door, and the owners are lovely. What more could you ask for

Accommodation clean and tidy with own little courtyard, owners own the fields surrounding the property and ideal for dog walks. Many places to visit within 20 minute drive away, ideal if you do not want to travel far every day. Lovely cottage with great hosts . Ideal for our 2 dogs, as the large fields and stream belonging to our host are great for walks. If you like steam engines the station is close by . We really enjoyed our stay .

Lovely place really clean and comfortable. The added bonus of being able to excercise the dog in the fields. Edward and Louise were just brilliant hosts. Cannot speak too highly of our experience at the Quantock Room. Totally perfect in every way. Was initially a little concerned about the parking arrangement but on arrival found the owners had created a perfectly safe private car park.. Wow what can I say these are absolutely lovely. Fully equipped with everything you can think of, lovely and clean and more spacious than what I was expecting. Utility room next door with everything available to use. Owners were very friendly and their land was just outstanding. The Quantock room was delightful. It was well equipped with good central heating and the added bonus of the wood burner. The enclosed terrace was perfect for our dog to get some fresh air safely and the fields were great for a walk right on our door step. Very clean, great equipment provided. The availability of a fully equipped washroom adjacent to the cottages was a very good thing. Just a casual stroll to the local shops where most amenities could be found. Parking at the cottages was very close, so not far to carry luggage. We had a great time with our dogs, we were lucky the dogs were allowed to run at the fields as there were no sheep at the fields. West Somerset railway just around the corner so easy to enjoy a ride. In the village of Williton, Somerset you will find a family farm owned by Edward&Louise. They have two lovely holiday rooms Quantock and the Flower room. We stayed in the Quantock clean bright well-equipped,comfortable, wifi and out side space. There are acres of fields to allow your dog freedom. Perfect location to use as a base for visiting all that Somerset has to offer. The Quantocks room was exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortably furnished. We were taken aback by the natural beauty of the location ,its was idyllic and we would not hesitate in visiting again or recommending to anyone else. The property was immaculate and clean even by my wifes standards and edward and louise were very welcoming especially to betsy our puppy.
