Set in a rural location on the banks of the River Wye with established apple orchards, this traditional red-brick barn conversion is a perfect base for couples to explore Herefordshire.

With a romantic bedroom underneath the eaves, a winding wrought iron staircase and a gorgeous rustic atmosphere, you’ll go barking mad for this unique barn conversion in a tranquil rural haven.

Feel right at home in the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, combining a rustic traditional atmosphere with a fantastic contemporary colour palette that’ll make even your four-pawed pal feel pampered. Let Rover curl up on the rug in the living area as you put your feet up on the comfy leather sofa and catch the latest blockbuster on the TV. Cook up a storm for you and your canine companion in the galley-style kitchen after planning your next walkies around the farmhouse-style dining table opposite. Up the quirky and characterful staircase, relax and recuperate in the double bedroom underneath the eaves, with countryside views and plenty of room for Rover’s bed. Outside, lead the way for your pup to explore the open aspect garden and surrounding campsite facilities, and sniff out the nearby river for a lovely long walk.

Located within an established campsite on the fringes of the picturesque village of Preston-on-Wye, you can lead the way right from your doorstep along to the River Wye, where you and your canine companion can enjoy a leisurely promenade along the Wye Valley Way to sniff out a wide range of wildlife. Go mutts in the vibrant market town of Hay-on-Wye 12 miles away where you can pick up local produce from a farmers’ market or browse the independent shops with your top dog in tow. Leave no stick unfetched and join the Offa’s Dyke Path on the Hatterall Ridge (17 miles) for a challenging hike or tackle Hay Bluff and the Black Mountains (16 miles).

The Outhouse is a beautiful little place to stay; a home from home. It's well-equipped, comfortable and cosy! We enjoyed being tucked away down single track lanes, surrounded by nature and farmland, and had a very peaceful stay. Also, Ollie and his team were helpful and knowledgeable throughout whenever we needed them! There's so much to see and doRead more around the area, so we're already thinking about going back... Hide

Lovely little cottage. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout. Loved the spiral staircase and big bath. Fabulous location with walks and pub nearby. Nice to wake up with the sun beaming through the bedroom window and gazing out across the huge, green field.

This place was wonderful. There were 2 of us plus our German Shepherd and there was ample room and during the hot weather the stone flooring was ideal for our fluffy GSD as it was cold. Air conditioning upstairs in the bedroom was great, but the best part was just the location. Middle of nowhere, with a river nearby. Most relaxed we have been in a Read morelong time. We didnt need to leave the premises aside from a little bit of food shopping due to the size of the land, it was fantastic. Will be back! Hide
