Built in 1820, this elegant Grade II listed Georgian property is the perfect place for the whole family to get together and enjoy all that the Sussex coast has to offer.
This gorgeous Grade II listed property in the lovely village of Icklesham really does have the wow factor. Lavishly decorated throughout, it sleeps 12 people over six stylish bedrooms and welcomes one four-legged friend. Perfect for a family or group getaway, this Georgian family home offers plenty of space for socialising with loved ones and a lovely enclosed garden/patio for your pup to explore off-leash.
Step through the front door and you’ll be welcomed into the beautiful hallway that leads through to the spacious lounge/diner. There you’ll see a pretty open fire, which your pup is sure to love stretching out in front of. The stylish dining area provides seating for everyone and has bi-folding doors that open onto the conservatory. Bathed in natural light, the conservatory leads out into the garden. Next is the shaker-style kitchen - the perfect place to rustle up a group dinner. Head up the cottage-style stairs and you’ll find four gorgeous bedrooms on the first floor and two more – with beautiful exposed beams – on the second floor. Outside, you’ll find a lovely lawn area to the front of the property and a large enclosed garden with a pond and terrace to the rear, where you can spend happy afternoons cooking on the BBQ while your furry friend runs free.
Dogs are welcome all year round at Cooden Beach (14 miles), which is a popular spot for kite surfers and windsurfers. Alternatively, dog restrictions apply at Winchelsea Beach (4.5 miles), but there is a dog exercise area there. Pups are also welcome at Rye Harbour Nature Reserve (7 miles), where you can enjoy walkies that take you past salt marshes, saline lagoons, coastal grazing marshes and military fortifications from the 16th, 19th and 20th centuries.
