Within easy access of both the glorious North Pennines and the attractive city of Durham, it is ideal for a family getaway.
Inside, this single-storey property is elegant and stylish. The open-plan living area has a neat, well-equipped kitchen with a table for four next to the window where you can enjoy the views. The cosy lounge area has an attractive fireplace and a large rug where Fido can enjoy a doze while you relax with a drink in the evening. From the lounge, large patio doors open onto the attractive private patio area where there is comfortable garden seating with fabulous views, perfect for a drink in the sun. Shared with the other two properties, the large, enclosed lawn stretches down to a second seating area, where you can sit and soak up the sun while your furry friend gambols about on the grass.
Surrounded by miles of unspoilt countryside, the cottage is ideally located for getting out and about with your four-legged friend. The beautiful River Wear (12 miles) offers wonderful riverside walks. Head into the pretty town of Wolsingham for lunch in one of the dog-friendly pubs or explore the marked trails of nearby Hamsterly Forest where your furry friend can enjoy snuffling around in the undergrowth. A day to the Beamish Living Museum (10 miles) is unmissable. Take your four-pawed pal on the buses and trams that run around this unique open-air museum and explore the sights and smells of life from a time gone by.
