Set in an idyllic rural location at the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, this remote retreat provides four guests and two of their four-legged friends with the ideal base to explore the mountains of Mid Wales and coastline of Cardigan Bay. A plethora of walking and cycling opportunities are sure to set tails wagging, before you return to relaxed evenings under sparkling stars.
Located next to the owner’s B&B, which sits in around four acres of grounds, this single-storey property manages to feel secluded and private, with established gardens, woodland, a wildlife pond and a stream for your pack to explore. The open-plan living space ensures that whether you are preparing a meal, planning your activities or simply relaxing in front of the TV, no one will be left out. On warmer days the property’s enclosed garden with paved patio, outdoor furniture and charcoal BBQ means that al fresco dining is always an option, and it also provides you with a private space to enjoy as the sun slowly sets.
The property’s remote location means that you are never far from a good walk or stick-chasing opportunity, with the Cambrian Mountains immediately to the east. Supplies can be found readily in the town of Tregaron, 5 miles north, where you can sniff out a bargain at the local market and browse the shops and eateries. For wildlife lovers, Cors Caron Nature Reserve lies to the north of the town, with more than 170 bird species recorded on the wetland site and a number of dog-friendly walking routes on offer. Meanwhile, Cardigan Bay lies 18 miles west, where you will find plenty of beaches, coves and seaside towns to explore, with Aberaeron, Aberystwyth and New Quay all within 25 miles of your door.
