Nestled in the hamlet of Green Ore, enjoy all that Somerset has to offer with your favourite people and furry companions – this property sleeps six plus two pups. Close to the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, and on the edge of Mendip Hills Area of Natural Beauty, there are walks galore on your doorstep, enough to keep even the most energetic dog satisfied! Return to this welcoming barn conversion for some rest and relaxation at the end of a great day.

Beautifully renovated in contemporary style, the exposed beams add a touch of rustic character. Discard wellies, wipe muddy paws and towel down wet fur in the utility room, very handy for a damp doggy to dry off! Put the kettle on in the delightful kitchen and perhaps sort a doggy treat or two before scampering through to the lounge; relax on the comfortable sofas with a good book, as your contented canine enjoys a snooze on his favourite blanket. From the kitchen, venture to the small enclosed walled garden, perfect for your four-legged friends to potter about in. The large enclosed garden has a patio where you can enjoy a morning coffee watching your happy hound trot about the lawn.

Wells (5 miles) has cafes and shops, and there is a pub within walking distance. Explore the Mendip Hills by travelling through the Chedder (8.8 miles) and Ebbor (5.5 miles) gorges and explore miles of beautiful pathways by foot or bike. The Stockhill woods (3 miles) are pretty all year round with well-marked out footpaths, and a walk around Chew Valley Lake (8 miles) gives woodland, wildflower meadow and wonderful views across the lake towards the Mendip Hills. Further afield, head to the golden sands of Burnham-on-Sea (20 miles) where a water-loving dog can splash to his heart’s content.

Fantastic accommodation, very clean, exceptionally comfortable. Lovely friendly hosts. The EV charger was really appretiated, plenty of hot water and huge American fridge/freezer in the very well equipped kitchen. The garden was very spacious and well kept and super safe for our dog. Location and surroundings were amazing, super close to Wells and Read moreto Glastonbury and Bath. We had lovely walks in nearby Stockhill Woods and loved Berrow dog friendly Beach. Highly recommended a wonderful holiday. Hide

A beautiful, clean cottage. The owners were lovely and so friendly. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for days out. Our dogs had the most incredible time at Berrow beach and the accommodation was perfect for them too, a nice enclosed garden, large enough for two labradors.

Beautiful cottage with a huge garden (perfect for my dog!) and in a great location for Bath and Wells. Very clean, spacious and felt very homely. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd really recommend this property.

We had a super autumn holiday in the Mendips which we love. Weather kind too. The cottage was spacious and Paul the owner helpful and on hand if we needed him. We didn't but his eating out recommendations were excellent. If you love walking then this is the place. Ken Ashley

This is a lovely, spacious, well-equipped property close to the A39. Its on a farm so there are sheep and goats. The owners are very friendly and live close by. Excellent location - we did Wookey Hole, Wells (good market on Saturdays), Glastonbury and the Tor, and Clarks Village.

Great space in the house and garden. Enclosed garden great for our dog too. Easy access to the main A road connection. WiFi intermittent at times? Lovely Rural farm location, surprisingly peaceful and restful. Nice local pub in walking distance - the Plough Boy, and lovely local cafe for breakfast; Hartleys kitchen.
