If you’ve ever imagined yourself wandering along the stunning South West Coast Path without a care in the world, just you and your trusted canine companion, then this could be the perfect property for you. Conveniently situated within easy reach of the Cornish coastline and close to fascinating places of interest such as Tintagel Castle and Port Isaac which is home to the TV series Doc Martin, you most certainly won’t be bored during your holiday here. This warm and welcoming home-from-home provides the perfect base from which to explore this stunning area and is ideal for a family along with up to two fun loving pups.

Stepping into this beautifully converted barn you’ll first enter the open-plan lounge/dining/kitchen area which has been cleverly designed to maximise the space and light. Exposed wooden ceiling rafters stretch up to the apex of the property and add a homely, traditional feel to this room. The exposed brick fire surround tucked into the corner perfectly compliments the character of the cottage with the added benefit of providing cosy warmth on cooler evenings. There are also three bedrooms which offer a restful place for tired heads to lay and listen to the sounds of nature before dropping into a deep and rejuvenating sleep.

Tintagel is well worth the 5-mile drive from the cottage, particularly if you are fascinated by the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. Equally interesting is a 5-mile trip to the pretty fishing village of Boscastle where, along with a natural harbour and tiny port, you’ll find the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic - an independent museum dedicated to exploring British magical practices through unique, entertaining and educational exhibitions.

  • 3 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin and 1 single
  • 1 Bathroom with corner bath, separate shower and WC, 1 en-suite shower room

A comfortable cottage but right on a very busy B road with a 60mph limit, on a straight stretch. The swallows, small birds and insects were very at home around the property and compensated for the noisy road. I did get used to the traffic by day and slept well as things quiet at night.

The barn was in a perfect location making getting around very easy. It was larger than we expected and was set out very well. A few of the kitchen utensils and cooking pots needed updating. We were not prepared for the traffic on the road, sometimes it was quite busy. All in all, it is a great place to stay and use as a base for exploring all that Read moreCornwall has to offer. Hide

The cottage was as it appears in the advert, good location for North Cornwall tourist spots and did have reasonable access to local shops etc. As with all continuous rental properties, it was showing the signs of wear & tear, but nothing too off putting. Some rentals come with very little basic and this was one of those, the cupboards were empty ofRead more even things like washing up liquid, forcing us to undertake a shopping trip early on in our stay. We loved the cottage, it was so spacious and warm. Felt that the kitchen could that have incorporated a dishwasher as there was plenty of space and washing up on holiday is a chore but not a massive issue.
