  • An ideal base for walkers and cyclists exploring the rolling Wiltshire countryside
  • Situated on the edge of a pretty rural village but convenient for site seeing in Bath, Salisbury and Shaftesbury
Property code: 75877

This little granary dates back to the 16th century, with traditional features together with the contemporary amenities and beautiful countryside views, with plenty to see and do nearby.

Situated on a farm and part of a complex of properties, this Wiltshire hideaway is perfect for two people and a four-legged friend. A private courtyard offers a tranquil, relaxing and idyllic space to enjoy a morning coffee or al fresco dining, while your dog can soak up the sun. There is plenty to do near here and an opportunity to explore numerous countryside walks, taking in some of the best of the Wiltshire views. The quirky accommodation can be booked with the neighbouring property for a larger gathering of friends, furry ones included!

The outside area of this granary is the real winner, a stunning, private walled garden that adds to the romance of the property. The open-plan, studio style dwelling is spacious with plenty of seating for a relaxing evening in. Large windows give visitors stunning views across the neighbouring fields and hard floors throughout ensure that even the muddiest paws are not a problem. A romantic mezzanine bedroom is reached via a ladder style staircase, which looks over the living area.

Ideally located to explore Wiltshire and surrounding counties, as well as an opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle, this property offers the best of both worlds. A dog-friendly pub and local newsagents are located less than 1 mile from the cottage, in the village of Wylye. The ancient monument of Stonehenge is 7.5 miles away, perfect for a day trip with your pup. Medieval city, Salisbury, is 11 miles from here, where you can visit the cathedral, Ludgershall Castle and numerous pubs and restaurants.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Good space for two. Plenty of cutlery, crockery etc plus a dishwasher! Thanks to the owners also for providing so many basics such as tea bags, filter coffee, oil & vinegar ... really helpful and great to see. The walled garden is the jewell and we spent a lot of time sitting, chilling etaing and drinking there. It really made the holiday special aRead morend exactly what we ere looking for. Hide

Excellent property with a lovely welcome pack on arrival, clean and modern facilities. On the negative side you have to take your life in your hands walking on a busy road to reach the village and to top it off the pub is now closed until further notice!

An exceptionally clean, well equipped studio. Lovely, private courtyard to sit in , weather permitting! Proximity to both the A36 and the A303 meant there was traffic noise, though this did mean there were good communication links to Bath, Warminster, Salisbury etc.
