Enjoy family holidays on the East Yorkshire coast with this modern barn conversion just 1 mile from the beach. One of two adjoining properties on the owners’ farm, this two-bedroom cottage boasts chic and stylish accommodation opening onto a fabulous enclosed garden that’s perfect for summer BBQs. With your four-legged friend in tow, stroll along the sand and shingle beach, walk the perimeter of Hornsea Mere (2 miles) or grab a bite to eat in one of the dog-friendly eateries before venturing further afield to the likes of Bridlington (13.5 miles), the Yorkshire Wolds (25 miles) and Burton Agnes Hall (11.5 miles).

Perfect for couples, families and dogs, this contemporary coastal bolthole offers a sociable open-plan layout, hard floors and a stylish yet homely feel throughout. Prepare delicious seafood suppers or roasts stacked high with Yorkshire puddings in the chic kitchen area, being sure to save a portion for your four-legged friend. When it’s time to relax, settle down on the sofa in front of your favourite TV programme or open a board game at the table. Leaving your pooch to snooze on his bed, choose between the two serenely decorated bedrooms, one of which opens onto the patio area – perfect for summer’s mornings. This contemporary property is ideally located for exploring East Yorkshire on foot. A popular choice among walkers, birdwatchers, sailors and swimmers alike, the Victorian resort of Hornsea boasts a freshwater lake and vast Blue Flag beach that welcomes dogs at certain times of the year. For salty sea dogs visiting during peak season, drive to the dog-friendly beaches at Hunmanby Gap (22 miles), Fraisthorpe (10 miles) and Flamborough (18 miles). Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve (19.5 miles) is home to one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain and is well worth a visit. Slightly closer to home, the market town of Beverley (13.5 miles) is a great place to spend an afternoon, with a selection of dog-friendly cafes and a range of independent shops.

Lovely designed and laid out cottage, perfect for a relaxing stay with our cockerpoo. Ideal having secure outside space with seating. Welcome treats for us and our dog on arrival from friendly host. Good location for walking to town and beach, we plan to return.

Very clean and comfortable. Well appointed inside and outside. Good quality furnishings, appliances and equipment. We had everything we needed. Very easy access to the cottage and inside as its all on one level. Good location for exploring the East coast and local area.

Overall well presented accommodation, great bedrooms, very well kitted out - everything need to a self-catering let. Lounge/diner space was a little lacking. For my son and myself it was fine, but for a family of 4, I'm not so sure. Location was a slight issue. The road could be noisy at times. Limited ability to get good ventilation meant I found Read moreit stuffy, especially night. Had a fabulous holiday, but would not return. Hide

Just had a lovely week in this cottage with my brother (adult wheelchair user, leg amputee). On arrival we were impressed at how clean and modern it was. There was milk in the fridge and crisps, chocolates and drink sachets. The doors are wide enough to allow the wheelchair though and the shower room was also big. Excellent accommodation spotlessly clean and modern throughout. Really good for anyone bringing an elderly or disabled relative on holiday as all on one level very wheelchair friendly. Good spacious walk in shower. Well located for visiting nearby attractions.

We needed a wheelchair accessible and dog friendly cottage. This met both criteria well, comfortable. The pack of tea/coffee/milk, plus dog treats and towel was very welcome. The cottage is reasonably wheelchair friendly. There is a 1-2" lip at the base of the access ramp for the front door and access to the rear small patio area may be difficult aRead mores the patio door appears to have a standard lip, the access ramp also ends in gravel. Our accommodation was spotless, well equipped, an ideal base for Hornsea and Bridlington. Although its located on the side of the road the traffic noise did decrease at night and caused us no problems. We would definitely return and recommend this property.

Loved staying at the Mistral. Roomy bedrooms, comfy beds. High standard of cleanliness. Well equipped, couldnt want for better. Highly recommended, we will be looking to book again in the future. Great position to explore the area. Enjoyed the local pubs and restaurants for meals. Excellent!
