Rural property perfect for a couple’s retreat in a stunning rural location just three miles from the beach and village of Heartland.

Spacious living and an enclosed open-plan garden surrounded by open countryside, this property is a great place to escape to if you are looking to get away from all the stresses and strains of daily life. The location on the Hartland Peninsula in North Devon provides many miles of beautiful walks which will be loved by both you and your doggy friend.

A light and bright single-storey barn conversion cottage, boasting a fantastic open-plan living area and a comfortable double bedroom, this property is a lovely spot to enjoy a romantic couples’ break. With more space and much more privacy than a hotel room, this property is an excellent choice for those travelling with their canine companion - your pup is bound to love the peaceful garden as much as you will. You can take drinks or meals out here whilst your puppy pal runs around and enjoys the fresh air and freedom of the countryside. In addition, you are also welcome to explore the farm’s impressive 260 acres of land.

Sitting out in the garden of this property you will feel like you are a million miles away from civilisation, and yet it is only 3 miles from the pretty village of Hartland where there is a small array of independent shops as well as a choice of places to eat. Just outside the village, the rugged coastline of Hartland Point offers stunning views out to sea, which you will be free to take in as your dog sniffs around and explores his surroundings. For a change of scene, head outside the village to the stunning country house and gardens at Hartland Abbey, 4 miles away, for a fantastic day trip. The extensive gardens are open to dogs on leads so you can explore together.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Nigel and Jackie were very welcoming to us and our dog Wesley. Wesley became friends with their dog Alphie and also their sheep dog. The cottage is of a high standard and the decor is modern and new. We would love to come back one day and found our holiday very relaxing away from the stresses of life. It is home from home. Well done and thank you MRead moreichelle, Chris and Wesley Hide

The property was more remote than we had expected but the directions given were clear and easy to follow. On arrival the property was clean and comfortable and the welcome pack of eggs, bacon etc was great. What a beautiful farm location that really was the escape we needed. We felt in the middle of nowhere, away from the hustle and bustle with beautiful views across the country side and even the sea. The owners were very friendly and on hand if needed. We would defiantly booked again for our next trip to Devon.

A very pleasant small cottage, on a peaceful friendly working family farm. It is remote, and you will need a car to get around. The roads leading to the farm are tight and narrow, as are most of the back roads in this area, but as long as you take your time, and don't mind reversing along these narrow roads to the pull-in sections to allow the occaRead moresional farm vehicle to pass, you will be fine. A great place for all to learn about the farming life, and the family are warm and welcoming. Hide
