Perfectly positioned to both the countryside and coast, this superbly converted ECO-friendly barn is a perfect retreat or explorer’s base to appreciate the Heart of Cornwall.

This stylish barn conversion accommodates six guests plus two four-legged pals. You’ll be perfectly positioned to enjoy many of Cornwall’s hidden gems, including the charming fishing village of Mousehole (5.5 miles away) and the iconic landmark of St Michael’s Mount (3 miles away). There’s a great dog-friendly beach just a short stroll from the property (less than 0.5 miles), so you’ll be able to give the hounds a good run without even having to get in the car.

 

The gorgeous property is light and airy and features a spacious lounge/kitchen/diner, perfect for socialising with your guests. From the contemporary lounge area there’s access to the fully enclosed garden so, on a warm day, throw open the double doors and allow the dogs to potter in and out. They’ll love the outdoor space, which is a little sun trap (perfect for afternoon dozing) with a lawned area where they can play. On a summer’s evening, join them outside for a bite to eat and a glass of wine in the outdoor seating area. Outside in the large driveway is a tap for hosing down muddy or sandy dogs or wetsuits, plus a rail for hanging wetsuits to dry

 

Eastern Green Beach (less than 0.5 miles away) is a sheltered sand and pebble beach and is dog friendly all year. From here, enjoy views of St Michael’s Mount. Alternatively, if it’s countryside tranquillity you’re after, you’ll find plenty of walking trails at Trelowarren Estate (18 miles away). Mainland Britain’s most southerly point, The Lizard Peninsula, is 24 miles away. There’s a delightful dog-friendly cafe where you can recharge after an exhilarating walk along the cliffs. For quintessential Cornish charm, take a trip to nearby Mousehole (5.5 miles away), where you’ll find quaint cottages and a cute little harbour. Penzance (1.5 miles away) has some fabulous independent shops and galleries exhibiting the work of local artists, many of which welcome dogs, which are definitely worth exploring during your stay.

Excellent accommodation, would thoroughly recommend this as a holiday / short break destination. The accommodation is first class, we had an amazing time. Shops, walks and beach in easy walking distance. Thank you, we would love to visit again.

The Lily Pad was everything we had hoped for. The garden was secure for our dog to be outside on his own. The Hevva cake kindly left for us on arrival was delicious, the cottage was beautifully clean.Parking was excellent- plenty of space and a useful tap for washing down a sandy dog, shoes etc. The cottage was so peaceful, yet only minutes from thRead moree main roads. We loved that we could walk straight from the cottage to the dog-friendly beach and then on to Marazion etc. Highly recommend. Hide

Probably the cleanest property you'd come across, well equipped. Great location and all amenities nearby. 5 mins walk to beautiful dog friendly beach. Great underfloor heating. Wonderful stay at The Lily Pad Lovely property in a great location. Close to all amenities and a short walk to a dog friendly beach. Home from home and great to return to comfy sofas after a day out. We had a great holiday and the kids loved the fact that we was all on the same floor.
