A delightful shepherd’s hut idyllically located near the Cambrian Mountains and a short drive from the coast. Lovely views across fields and woodland with a cosy woodburner to warm up the evenings.

This is the perfect romantic getaway for you, you partner and up to three four-legged friends. This charming shepherd’s hut is situated in a beautiful, enclosed meadow meaning you can enjoy plenty of peace and privacy with your furry friends. There are lovely walks straight from the door, and the village of Tregaron is just a short walk away with various eateries, shops and pubs to explore.

Truly idyllic, this quirky shepherd’s hut is bright and cosy, decorated in neutral colours with some colourful touches. The bijou living area is comprised of a raised sleeping area to sleep two, a wood burner and a tiny, but perfectly formed, kitchen area; everything you need for a romantic retreat, including a welcome pack of local free-range eggs, bacon, butter, milk, bread, jam, tea and hot chocolate. Canine guests are equally well catered for with a tin of doggy treats included. Next to the hut is a quirky separate shower room and WC.
Enjoy a leisurely meal in this wonderful rural setting and take in the glorious views of the surrounding countryside, while your canine companions frolic happily around you.

Just next door to the meadow is a wood, perfect for walkies with your four-footed pals, and carpeted with bluebells in spring. Further afield, head 12 miles east to the beautiful coastal village of Aberaeron and enjoy a wander around the harbour or play fetch on the sands of North Aberaeron beach. The National Trust Dolaugothi Gold Mines 15 miles to the south are well worth a visit; there are numerous dog-friendly walking routes on-site with spectacular views across the countryside.

My pups and I loved our stay. So cosy and an ideal place to get away from the modern world and chill. Lovely walks with great guides provided. Owners were lovely, on hand for advice but not intrusive in any way. The only slight downside was the weather which no one controls !! It rained 80% of the time there. Would highly recommend. My whippets and I just love this place, perfect for escaping to for a peaceful and relaxing break away from it all. To have a field all to ourselves thats enclosed and safe is wonderful for the dogs to run around to their hearts content. We've just returned from Hygge Hut, the outside space was amazing for our dogs but unfortunately that's were it ends. The bed was hard, the chairs uncomfortable and trying to just do a sausage sandwich and a cup of tea for breakfast was a feat in itself. The takeaway in the village was closed for refurbishment so apart from the Chinese takeaway, thRead moree nearest place to get food from is a 40 to 50 minutes round trip. Second break for us at the Hygge Hut. We love it here and the area so much, we will be booking for our third trip as soon as possible.. Hosts are lovely and so helpful if you need anything. Peace, tranquility and we are booking our third trip soon, that says it all!

Lovely peaceful place where people and dogs can relax together. Plenty of choices for places to walk during the day. The owners give a warm welcome and provide bacon, eggs, butter, bread, milk and other things, setting you up for your first night. There is a barbecue if you fancy it one evening. Wonderful location and very rare that it is dog secure. Owners are truly dog friendly as well making for an inviting environment and relaxed holiday. Fantastic walks and scenery also within easy reach of Devils bridge which is well worth a visit along with a number of nature reserves and the seaside all dog friendly. Ideally situated for walks and drives out. The hut is nice and cosy with little details thought of. The enclosure was great for the dogs to run around and play. Finally thank you to Robert for being a great host.

Fabulous place to get away from the digital/tech that rules our lives. Beautiful location, 100% dog friendly, lots of walks, stunning beaches and countryside, amazing mountain roads and delicious food available readily from surrounding smallholdings and farm shops.

We loved our week in the hut. It was a perfect holiday for our 3 dogs giving you the freedom of camping but with home comforts such as hot shower and warm cabin to make you feel clean and relaxed. The first time I arrived at the cottage, you could hear the river flowing peacefully and the singing of the birds woke you up every morning with a smile. When you walked into the cottage, you could feel the old fashioned vibe. There was electricity but you couldn't even feel its presence. This little retreat proved a much needed tonic, set in idyllic scenery. As much peace and quiet as you like, and our dog felt as much benefit as we did. The owners were welcoming and helpful, and only there when their input was wanted. Would definitely recommend.
