A great family holiday let, ideally located for exploring the beautiful Devonshire coastline and many attractions.
Nestling in the Sterridge Valley, this pretty first-floor getaway is part of a small complex of properties within 3 acres of meadowland. They have all been imaginatively converted from 18th-century farm buildings. Situated just 4 miles from the thriving coastal town of Ilfracombe, this light and attractive holiday home is perfect for a family or a couple looking to explore the North Devon coast, and offers cosy accommodation for four human and two canine guests.
Accessed via an external wooden staircase, this lovely retreat features a spacious and inviting open-plan lounge/diner with exposed beams and a wood burner-effect electric fire set in a stone fireplace. The welcoming lounge is ideal for sitting back and enjoying a movie with your pack at the end of the day, and you can share a favourite meal or plan the day’s activities at the dining table. Exploring further, there’s a fully-equipped kitchen and two bright and tastefully decorated bedrooms – a double and a twin. Stepping outside, an elevated decked sun terrace makes a lovely spot for al fresco dining. A shared undercover games area has table tennis, darts and a range of outdoor games equipment including croquet and boules. The large paddock is great for picnics, ball games and for exercising the hounds, and there’s also a play area for younger children. Two Shetland ponies live in part of the meadow.
Ilfracombe (4 miles) and Combe Martin (2.5 miles) have a great range of dog-friendly pubs and cafes, and your canine companions are welcome on many local beaches including Watermouth Bay (1 mile), Hele Bay (2 miles) and Wildersmouth Beach (4 miles). Heading inland, you can discover the Exmoor National Park (5 miles), or visit the gardens at Arlington Court (7.5 miles) and Broomhill Sculpture Gardens (8 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
