A stone built converted holiday cottage provides a spacious idyllic rural retreat for couples and families alike, with beautiful views over the River Fowey.
This sympathetically converted former grain store on the Polperro Heritage Coast in Cornwall offers families and their four-legged friends’ spacious accommodation in which to enjoy each other’s company. Located on a working farm in the quaint, but steep, village of Bodinnick-By-Fowey, you are only a short ferry ride away from the small, historic town of Fowey. You and your canine companion will be spoilt for choice when it comes to walks, with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep and other popular routes such as the Hall Walk which starts in Bodinnick.
You enter the property into the bright hall, which is the perfect place to take off your boots and wipe off muddy paws. Moving through into the lounge, you will notice there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, whilst watching your favourite TV programme. The kitchen/diner is equally as spacious and has everything you’ll need to rustle up some treats. Upstairs, there are two light and airy bedrooms (one double and one twin) with an en-suite bathroom and family shower room. Outside, there is plenty of space with an enclosed lawn and patio area, which is great for al fresco dining.
Situated on the rugged, Cornish coastline, there are plenty of opportunities for walks in the fresh sea air, with dramatic cliffs and golden, sandy beaches around every corner. One such beach can be found in the picturesque fishing village of Polperro (6 miles), which welcomes dogs all year round. If you fancy a moorland stroll instead, why not head north to Bodmin Moor to see sights such as Golitha Falls (15 miles). A trip to Cornwall is not complete without visiting the Eden Project (14 miles), which kids both young and old will enjoy, and dogs are welcome on a lead.
