This beautiful property is the ideal base for keen walkers, nature enthusiasts and those who want to return to a little bit of luxury at the end of an adventurous day.

Set in an idyllic spot along the Cowal Way on the Secret Coast of Argyll, this delightful Victorian stone cottage is surrounded by stunning countryside. Offering cosy and welcoming accommodation for a family of four, the lodge also has plenty of space for a four-legged friend. Ideally situated just off the A8003, the cottage sits within a pretty garden looking out to the romantic Kyles of Bute. The cottage has been beautifully restored to create a relaxing, traditional atmosphere, making this a lovely holiday retreat for those seeking a quiet base to discover this stunning Scottish peninsula.

This lovely single-level property offers a stylish lounge with a cosy wood burner and comfortable seating. There's also a light and airy dining room, and the attractively designed kitchen is a pleasure to prepare meals in. The cottage features a bright and spacious dual-aspect double bedroom with glorious country views, and a cosy and comfortable twin bedroom perfect for children. Stepping outside, the small surrounding garden features a hedged lawn area with garden furniture so you can sit out and dine alfresco. Please note the garden is unfenced and backs onto a fast-flowing trout river which runs directly behind the cottage so dogs and young children must be supervised at all times. Ample parking is available for up to three cars.

This is a wonderful area for you and your dog to explore, with plenty of dog-friendly places to eat and drink in nearby towns and villages such as Tighnabruaich (7 miles), Colintraive (8 miles) and Dunoon (16.5 miles). Your dog can help you explore Benmore Botanic Garden (15.5 miles), the Isle of Bute (18.5 miles) – which can be reached by ferry – and the pretty fishing village of Tarbert (15.5 miles). You can also discover Kilbride Bay (12 miles), Portavadie Marina (11 miles) and Castle Lachlan (15 miles).

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

Fantastic location with amazing beaches and scenery on the doorstep. The cottage was slightly disappointing and doesnt accurately reflect the luxury as promised in the advert.
