There’s a kitchen section for preparing food and a dining area where you can relax together with a meal and a bottle of wine. The bed is in a curtained-off area, and there’s a lounge section with a cosy wood burner for keeping you all warm on chillier evenings – plus Smart TV to keep you entertained. Outside there’s a private terrace where you can sip coffee with the newspaper on slower mornings while the dogs doze off in the shade.
Head to Williton station and take the pets on a steam train on the West Somerset Railway. Ride to Minehead (10 miles), a pretty seaside town with plenty of shops and cafés to explore. Taunton (16.5 miles), Somerset’s lively county town, is well worth a visit. To take Fido for a run at the local dog friendly beach, which is a twenty minute walk away using the public footpath or plentiful country walks through ancient woodlands, head to the Blackdown Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty 23 miles away. If you’re holidaying with another couple, you may want to hire out the neighbouring property too, which also welcomes two dogs.
