A property steeped in history offering a welcoming environment with a private hot tub and a warming wood burner. A great spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and explore some of Wales' finest locations.

Steeped in history, this unique property is part of a medieval manor house dating back to the 14th century. Sleeping four guests over two bedrooms and welcoming one waggy-tailed companion, this homely, historic property also boasts modern luxuries, including a private outdoor hot tub. Accessed by its own entrance overlooking a charming wooded dingle, this exceptionally peaceful property is completely self-contained. Period features abound throughout, adding to the quirky nature of this one-off property. The quaint cottage-style kitchen leads to an ancient slated rear hall and a characterful sitting room with a magnificent inglenook complete with cosy wood burner—a big favourite with four-legged visitors. Step outside and you’ll find a pleasant terrace with a hot tub and a secluded lawn area surrounded by flowers and trees.

Leash-up Fido and take him on a lovely stroll at Llyn Clywedog (17 miles). This 72-metre-high dam in a spectacularly scenic setting offers majestic views across Mid Wales. Alternatively, head into the market town of Machynlleth (12.5 miles), where dogs are welcome at the Centre for Alternative Technology. There are some great walks there and you’ll even be provided with a biodegradable poo bag upon arrival! In Machynlleth you’ll also find a couple of cosy dog-friendly pubs in which to enjoy a pint or two with your faithful friend at your feet.

My new husband and I went to The Dingle for our honeymoon, and can say that we had the best start to our marriage! Sheena was very helpful and keen to offer any advice and tips for local beauty spots to visit. What a lovely comfortable home! Very comfy sofas in the lounge & a great wood burner which was very welcome when the weather became cooler. A Well-equipped kitchen & the comfort of a four-poster bed. The owners artwork decorated the walls & the icing on the cake was the fabulous hot- tub. Thank you Sheena for a delightful stay!

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful little cottage. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The bad weather didnt stop us exploring walks on our doorstep and even a few trips to the beach.

The Dingle is a beautiful retreat in a very picturesque area of hills and working farms. Cottage garden is beautiful and the house is very atmospheric with plenty of art, books, and games. Hot tub is wonderful for 2 people. The owner is so nice and welcoming and a very talented artist! Recommend highly if long walks, great countryside and peace andRead more isolation is your thing. Bit of a drive to local shops but Tesco do deliver! Beware cattle with calves in local fields if you have pets. Hide

This isnt a all mod-con luxury cottage. Its a quaint, characterful, authentic country cottage filled with lovely, and artistically chosen bits and pieces. Beautiful countryside, lovely host who is helpful but unobtrusive. Like the hot tub, its not new but delivers brilliantly. Fab.
