Enjoy a stroll along the river in beautiful Weardale (12 miles) or head to the expanse of Derwent Reservoir (10 miles) where you and your furry friend can enjoy a walk around the sparkling water. For a spot of culture, head to the historic city of Durham (12 miles) where you can stroll around the pretty cobbled streets or wander along the banks of the River Wear and admire the views of the cathedral and castle before heading for lunch in one of the city’s many dog-friendly eateries.
