Stroll the Dales Way footpath along the River Dee, just half a mile from the property, and take in the superb scenery. Then, come home and relax in the wonderful roll-top bath, glass of wine in hand.
The property, which is located in a quiet hamlet in the South Lakeland district, is comfy and snug with a wonderful mix of contemporary and traditional decor. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright, while the pretty exposed stone fireplace and inviting sofas beckon you to sink back in front of the wood burner, with Fido curled up at your feet. The bedroom is a peaceful and relaxing space to return to after a long day; fall into a deep slumber and wake up to stunning views from the bedroom window on a sunny morning.
Walk the cobbled streets of Dent, just 1 mile from the cottage, and discover the church of St. Andrew which is made out of black Dent marble. Learn about the working lives of local people since the 16th century at the Dent Village Heritage Centre. The famous town, Kendal, is 16 miles away and is great for shopping as well as strolling along the River Kent and sampling some local produce; try some Kendal mint cake or craft beers from the many local breweries in the town. Explore the 4.5-mile circular Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (14 miles) and see the ancient base rocks that form the Peak District.
