This charming cottage, situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, is perfect for a couples’ getaway – along with your loyal canine, of course! With a cosy and welcoming bedroom that’s ideal for two, and plenty of space for the pup to snooze, it won’t be long before you’re refreshed and ready to explore the beautiful walks that are just outside your door. Stroll the Dales Way footpath along the River Dee, just half a mile from the property, and take in the superb scenery. Then, come home and relax in the wonderful roll-top bath, glass of wine in hand.

The property, which is located in a quiet hamlet in the South Lakeland district, is comfy and snug with a wonderful mix of contemporary and traditional decor. The open-plan living area is fresh and bright, while the pretty exposed stone fireplace and inviting sofas beckon you to sink back in front of the wood burner, with Fido curled up at your feet. The bedroom is a peaceful and relaxing space to return to after a long day; fall into a deep slumber and wake up to stunning views from the bedroom window on a sunny morning.

Walk the cobbled streets of Dent, just 1 mile from the cottage, and discover the church of St. Andrew which is made out of black Dent marble. Learn about the working lives of local people since the 16th century at the Dent Village Heritage Centre. The famous town, Kendal, is 16 miles away and is great for shopping as well as strolling along the River Kent and sampling some local produce; try some Kendal mint cake or craft beers from the many local breweries in the town. Explore the 4.5-mile circular Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (14 miles) and see the ancient base rocks that form the Peak District.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely cottage, location remote but near enough to walk into Dent. Comfortable and well stocked with essentials (tea/coffee/sugar etc) which is a nice addition.

The only thing that is not clear in the property description is that there is no parking actually with the property. Parking is on road, over a bridge and turn left and It is out of sight from the cottage.

Inside the cottage was very clean and cosy with all of the appliances that you would expect from a 5 star rating. The location was a little remote and the directions a little confusing. Dent is a beautiful village with 2 lovely pubs and some lovely cafes. Overall a good holiday but the outside space would deter me from visiting again.

Cosy cottage in a lovely quiet location with the sound of the stream behind it. Really warm and water always hot, the bathroom is beautiful, the bath amazing, dont forget the bubble bath. Log fire made the evenings so cosy as it was -2 outside. 3/4 mile into Dent where there are 2 pubs and both serving food, both with cosy log fires. The cottage is really lovely and cosy. We loved the modern bathroom and a fairly well equipped kitchen. Sitting in front of the open fire in an evening was an absolute pleasure. The location is very quiet. But you can walk the 3/4 mile to Dent - but youll need your wellies if youre going to follow the public footpath!
