Very cosy cottage. The weather was wet for most of the week so the wood-burning stove was a real bonus! There are walks from the cottage & plenty to explore in the surrounding area.

We were very pleased with with all aspects of the cottage and had a wonderful stay. However the television was problematical throughout our stay with constant loss of signal which was frustrating. Other than that we would highly recommend it. From previous reviews I was a little concerned about parking, but it was not a problem for our Yeti which iRead mores not a small car, I would recommend not parking to close to bin porch so that you are opposite the small pull in. Perfect location, had everything you could need! Very lovely cottage with comfortable bed, good shower and such a peaceful location, would definitely come back! There isnt anywhere to let the dog off the lead safely outside of the cottage bar a very small concrete area due to the other properties being private but there are grassy verges on the roaRead mored. Can get quite warm due to the heating not turning off, so imagine its nice and cosy in the winter months. Will be returning :) Hide

This cottage is beautiful. Comfortable furniture and bed, very well equipped, and in a beautiful location above Coniston. There is a path, which leads down towards the village, through woodland and meadows and which is accessed through a gate about 300m up the road from the cottage, but there are some deep steps which some may find challenging. The cottage is clean, warm and comfortable and well equipped. The welcome pack and cleaning pack were very useful. Parking is very tight even for a small or medium car and our dog had to be excercised off the property but There are plenty of walks in the vicinity and we had a lovely holiday and perfect autumnal weather.

Beautiful little cottage. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is very comfy and there is a separate, cosy living room, which includes a larger than average TV and a lovely log burner (logs were included). Great location, with stunning views down to the lake (10 minute walk). We recommend a trip to nearby Brantwood House & gardens, which has a lovRead moreely tearoom with amazing views, and is an easy 20 minute stroll from the cottage. Perfect for Grizedale Forest and The Old Man. Hide

The Dairy is a lovely, well-situated and well-equipped cottage, and really spacious compared with other 1-bedroom options. We were glad we'd taken our small car though, given the car parking (half-) bay is so tight... We had lovely walks from the door, taking in Tarn Hows in one direction and Coniston in the other, and all in all it was a great staRead morey. Hide

A beautiful cottage with a brilliant view of the mountains beside Coniston Lake. We really appreciated the welcome pack left for us and found the cottage to be very comfy and perfect for our stay. Just a short drive away is Brantwood Cafe, with wonderful food and amazing views. We would also recommend the Coniston Inn which is a short drive (or walRead morek!) away, which is also dog friendly. A lovely week away in the lakes, thank you! Hide

My wife, our cocker spaniel Milo and I will definitely return. What a lovely cottage, very well equipped more than any other property we have stayed at in the Lakes. Great location to begin a walk without needing to use the car which was fantastic, easy access onto Grizedale Forest. Close walking distance to the Brantwood estate where the food and Read moredrink at Terrace cafe is gorgeous. Good size lounge, bedroom and kitchen/diner. The welcome pack and cleaning pack we really nice additions! Hide
