Situated on a working farm in the dramatic Welsh countryside, this cosy and inviting holiday hut makes a wonderful romantic base for a couple looking to explore this tranquil area. Enjoying a secluded spot, this lovely holiday home is a perfect honeymoon retreat and is ideal for discovering both the Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley. There’s also plenty of space for a dog to tag along too.
Surrounded by farmland and based in the wider grounds of the owner’s property, the hut nestles in a large enclosed private garden with a natural pond and plenty of space for your dog to run around. The shepherd’s hut offers delightful accommodation for you to unwind in, and features a small but fully equipped open-plan living area, with comfortable seats and a cosy wood burner as well as a handmade kitchen and a cosy double bed. Outside, you can enjoy a BBQ and there’s also a fire pit, garden furniture and a hammock.
With the Wye Valley (8 miles) to the east and the Brecon Beacons National Park (7 miles) to the west, this charming glamping hut is located perfectly for exploring this stunning area. The popular market town of Usk (2.5 miles) offers a fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants and shops and is home to Usk Castle, one of several castles and ruins nearby which you and your canine companion are welcome to explore. Others include Raglan (3.5 miles), Skenfrith (18 miles), Grosmont (17.5 miles) and White Castle (10 miles). Dogs are also welcome at National Trust sites including The Kymin (14 miles) and the Sugar Loaf and Usk Valley (14.5 miles). Heading south, you can reach the busy town of Newport (17 miles), and the famous Severn Bridge (19 miles) leading into England.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
