These beautiful stone cottages are set within large shared gardens at the end of a private road, benefiting from wonderful countryside views in an area of outstanding beauty. A fantastic location for touring the area.

Close by is the popular market town of Kirkby Stephen with excellent shopping facilities. Choose between the southern boundary of the North Pennines or the northern side of the Yorkshire Dales National Park where you are surrounded by the rolling countryside and wonderful scenery, great for days out walking, mountain biking, riding or paragliding. Travel a bit further afield to the Lake District for another action packed day or visit local attractions such as the Settle to Carlisle Railway, Michelin Star restaurants and the Go Ape Tree Top adventures.

Additional info: Booking for July and August each year must be aware that there may be cows in the field surrounding the private track to property so transport is necessary to get up and down track to property. Other times of year it is just sheep. Location: shop 6 miles, pub 1 mile. Arrival: 3pm.

All on one floor, with ramp access as well as stairs which was great for our elderly dog. Great location, easy access to North Pennines AONB, Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. Lovely couple running the cottage, really felt at home here.

We spent a week in this lovely cottage, situated in an ideal location to visit both the Dales and the Lakes. Our hosts were so welcoming. Our children thoroughly enjoyed using the swing in the garden!

A beautiful and well maintained cottage set in ideal surroundings a great location for both the Lakes and North Yorkshire moors. Our hosts were pleasant and we were made welcome and nothing was too much of a problem. A lovely weeks holiday. Would recommend Moss Cottages to anyone.
