Spend your days exploring the beautiful beaches of Cornwall’s north coast before returning to this cosy retreat to spend the evening cosied up in front of the warming wood burner in the property’s comfortable lounge area. A patio area offers space for al fresco dining, whilst a tiered lawn is a lovely place for your dogs to stretch their legs.
On arrival at this barn-conversion cottage, make yourself at home in the attractive open-plan living area comprising a kitchen/diner with a sunny seating area situated to one end, providing the perfect place for chatting over drinks. Open the patio doors to let your dogs get some fresh air out on the patio, or retreat to the separate lounge where the wood burner can be lit whilst you sit back on the leather sofas to watch a film on the TV/DVD. Each of the restful bedrooms can be found upstairs, and due to the nature of the cottage all have charmingly sloping beamed ceilings but do be careful to mind your head.
The pretty village of Jacobstow, where this property is situated, is a great base from which to explore Cornwall’s beautiful coastline. The village pub, a mile down the road, is a lovely place to pop out for a pint or to settle in for the evening over dinner, and they welcome dogs at the bar, so there is no need to leave your faithful friend pining at the cottage. In the daytime, spend your time at one of the area’s many beaches, the majority of which such as Crackington Haven (4 miles) welcome dogs from October to May, with several, including the beautiful National Trust managed Sandymouth, being open to our four-legged friends all-year round.
