Boasting a peaceful rural location on the owner’s working farm, this attractive reverse-level cottage offers an idyllic couples’ escape. You’ll find it at the base of Appuldurcombe Down surrounded by the Isle of Wight’s picturesque countryside, which you’ll enjoy views over from the comfort of your home from home. We know your four-pawed pals should never be left out of an adventure; Fido and Rover will love exploring the many woodland walks from the doorstep, as well as getting sandy paws at Ventnor and Shanklin beaches, both just 5 miles away.
Entering the attractive cottage, you will find the double bedroom on the ground floor, while upstairs an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner offers everything you need to make yourself at home. Cook a delicious romantic dinner in the modern kitchen and dine overlooking the treetops. Rest achy feet and paws after a day of exploring in the comfortable lounge area, curling up to enjoy your favourite film or TV show. From the living area, a stable door leads to a set of external steps down to the bridle path. You’ll also have access to the farm’s communal garden -- the perfect spot to sit and enjoy al fresco drinks while your canine companions go mutts for the open space and country air.
The historic and pretty village of Godshill is just 1 mile away, famed for its array of local fossils. Join a guided fossil hunt on the beach of Compton Bay (13 miles) and see the dinosaur footprints, finding souvenirs to take home along the way while the pups splash in the waves. Coastal canines will also love walkies along the Tennyson Trail. Join the path at Carisbrooke (6.5 miles) and head west towards the Needles (18.5 miles), passing through the Isle of Wight’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
