Sitting in the Taw Valley in North Devon, this cottage is ideal for four humans and up to three doggy pals. It’s in an ideal location whether you are into walking, cycling, surfing, or prefer to just sit back and relax while enjoying the views.
This reverse-level house has been recently refurbished in a unique, contemporary style. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor and both have their own en-suites, one with a wet room. Upstairs is the lounge/kitchen/diner, where you and your pets can relax in front of a film or box set on the TV. In winter, you can snuggle up next to the wood burner and warm your toes and paws. There is a well-equipped kitchen area, too. Outside, you can enjoy the patio and garden area, and fire up the BBQ. After a day’s exploring, why not gather around the fire pit and gaze up at the blanket of stars in the endless Devon sky as you marvel at the stillness of being away from it all?
The property is a pleasant level walk from the village of High Bickington (1 mile), which includes a couple of dog-friendly pubs and a community shop. The barn conversion is also ideally located for some of North Devon’s finest beaches. Westward Ho! (19 miles), Saunton (18 miles) and Croyde (20 miles) are popular with surfers and bathers alike and have dog-friendly areas and opportunities for walkies all year round. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the Tarka Trail (12 miles) for lovely flat terrain. The regional towns of Barnstaple (11 miles) and South Molton (11 miles) hold popular pannier markets.
