"Originally built as a stable, this cute little cottage has retained many of its characterful features and provides lucky couples with a warm and welcoming holiday home-from-home. Located in the historic town of Auchterader you are in the perfect place to explore The Trossachs National Park and Loch Lomond, with miles of stunning traffic-free walks to amble along, historic buildings and castles to explore and breathtaking waterfalls to marvel at – you and your four-legged friend will most certainly not be bored during your stay here!
The open-plan living/dining area in this delightful little bothy is comfortable and cosy with pretty floral sofas and armchairs providing a welcome spot to snuggle up on after a busy day of adventure. Exposed wooden ceiling beams and stripped pine floors add a traditional, rustic touch and perfectly complement the sleek white kitchen area that adjoins the room. Upstairs you can fall into a deep sleep under the eaves in the restful double bedroom and wake up to the sound of birds singing from the many shrubs and trees that surround the outdoor terrace and seating area below.
Auchterader high street is a pleasant half-mile stroll and home to a lovely selection of shops and cafes along with pretty buildings. The town of Dunblane with its shops and pubs is just 13 miles from the cottage, and Andy Murray’s Cromlix House Hotel can be found just 3 miles further on from here. Golf fans will be more than happy to take the 2-mile drive to one of the famous golf courses at Gleneagles."
