The coastal bolthole sleeps four guests and one furry companion. The four-pawed party member will be in their absolute element, with plenty of new places to sniff and explore. The property is perfectly placed to enjoy wild and windy walks from the doorstep along the 30 miles of beaches which line the Northumberland Coast, as well as investigate the rugged beauty of Northumberland National Park, the edge of which is less than 20 miles away.
The single-level cottage is bright and airy and has an open-plan configuration, providing ample space for you all to spread out and relax during the holiday. Gather around the dining table and use the feature map to plan your itinerary, whilst your trusty companion wags their tail enthusiastically, eagerly anticipating the next adventure. From Longhoughton you can head through the sand dunes and take a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to the hidden gem of Sugar Sands. The secluded spot is dog-friendly all year and on a sunny day the white sands can have you fooled into thinking you’re in the Med. Truly stunning! You and the pup will also enjoy a trip to Bamburgh Castle, where you can both stroll around the grounds of the iconic edifice, steeped in myth and legend. Afterwards, head down to the dog-friendly sandy beach for a run around. Alternatively, head inland to the Northumberland National Park, where you’ll find majestic rolling hills dotted with marked trails and tracks. Head over after sunset and take advantage of the dark skies and enjoy a romantic evening of stargazing together.
