This once traditional Scottish farmstead has been tastefully and considerately converted into three attractive and charming cottages. Situated in a peaceful setting in the heart of the Perthshire wilderness.

Located in the beautiful Perthshire countryside, this delightful stone cottage is the perfect romantic bolthole for two guests and a four-legged friend. With Tay Forest Park behind you and the River Tay in front, there is no shortage of stunning walks, whether you choose to chase sticks in the forest or splash along the river.

Your base for this rural retreat is a cosy one-bedroom property located within a steading conversion containing three properties that have been refurbished to the highest standard. Set across two floors, the ground floor comprises a light and airy open-plan living space, as well as a shower room, with French doors leading from the sitting area on to your own patio with garden furniture, where you can relax and take in the views as day turns to night. When it's time for lights out you will find a the bedroom on the first floor, with super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom (with shower over bath). A cot and child's bed are available on request.

There is no doubt that this area of Perthshire has something to offer everyone, from adventure sports through to gentle strolls through incredible scenery. For walkers and bikers, a traffic-free riverside cycle path leads you 3 miles south-east to Dunkeld, with its local shops, 14th-century cathedral, cafes and bistros, as well as The Hermitage national forest with its towering Douglas firs. Plenty more stick-chasing adventures can be had closer to home, with access to Tay Forest Park less than half a mile from your door.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Situated in between the Tay Forest Park and the River Tay, this area of Perthshire offers walkers and cyclists the opportunity to explore some of the beautiful forest scenery and treetop viewpoints, right on the doorstep of the cottage. With a variety of woodland trails winding their way through some of the tallest trees in the country, these forests provide a mythical haven to discover.

The pretty village of Dunkeld benefits from an attractive waterside location and is nestled on the bank of the River Tay. Dominating its skyline is the beautiful cathedral along with brightly coloured cottages, a selection of traditional shops and a good variety of local eateries. The walk along the River Tay is charming, offering some lovely views of Thomas Telford's Dunkeld Bridge.

Further afield is the picturesque and lively town of Pitlochry (12.5miles) full of activities and outdoor pursuits to try your hand at. For those seeking thrills and adventure, take the plunge and go bungee jumping, white water rafting, rock climbing, mountain biking or quad biking! Or simply have a leisurely day wandering around the traditional distilleries, quaint little shops and tearooms, pubs and restaurants on offer here as Pitlochry has something to entertain everyone.

A fantastic holiday that was made all the more special thanks to the wonderful Bothy. A beautifully decorated and maintained home away from home in a wonderful location. We would definately recommend the Bothy to anyone wanting to stop in the area and we will definately be returning next year.

Fantastic property decorated to a very high standard. Spa bath in ensuite bathroom was a lovely surprise. Good choice of restaurants in Dunkeld. Favourite meal during our stay was at Broth3rs italian in Perth. Crannog centre well worth a visit as are Drummond Castle gardens.

A truly outstanding property. Spotless on arrival and the home baked cakes in the kitchen were a lovely touch! A great location as well to explore Pitlochry and Dunkeld. The Scottish Deli in Dunkeld has a great choice of salads and the coffee is to die for! Only stayed 2 nights but will definitely return. We had a brilliant two weeks stay at the Bothy, it was equipped to a very high standard, very clean, with a lovely cake and fresh milk on arrival. Thank you Sheena and Iian for being understanding about the towel plus the lovely cake. We would recommend it to anyone. The Bothy has a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom and two luxurious bathrooms. The cottage is situated in a quiet area, but still close to the A9 so you can easily explore the area.
