A characterful barn conversion, offering a romantic getaway for guests wishing to explore the Devon coastline and pretty villages.
Set in a beautiful part of the Sterridge Valley, this delightful barn conversion is part of a group of properties – all former farm buildings – dating back to the 18th century. Offering cosy accommodation for two guests with two canine companions, this reverse-level property is full of character and makes a fantastic base for exploring Exmoor (5 miles) and the Devon coastline.
Going straight up to the first floor you will find the charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a full-height window flooding the room with natural light, the lounge is perfect for sitting back, chatting late into the night or snuggling in front of the fire with a good book or a movie - pups happily snoozing at your feet. The dining table is ideal for a romantic meal for two, which you can prepare in the small but well-equipped kitchen. Returning to the ground floor, there’s a tastefully decorated and restful double bedroom. A small seating area is just outside the property, and there’s also a private garden with mature shrubs, lawn and a gazebo with seating and a chiminea. A covered games area is shared with the other properties on-site and has a range of equipment including croquet, darts, boules and table tennis. You can also use the shared paddock, which is a great space for ball games, picnics and exercising the hounds. There are also two Shetland ponies who live in the meadow.
This lovely property is close to the pretty village of Berrynarbor (0.5 miles) and makes a great base for tail-wagging pals and their owners exploring the South West Coast Path. The nearby towns of Ilfracombe (4 miles) and Combe Martin (2.5 miles) have plenty of dog-friendly places to eat and drink, and pets are welcome on many local beaches including Watermouth Bay (1 mile), Hele Bay (2 miles) and Wildersmouth Beach (4 miles).
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
