Bijou cottage situated in an elevated position overlooking the harbour town of Bideford, with its own private hot tub, enclosed garden, and far-reaching views to the River Torridge.

Swap the stresses of modern life for the sleepy solitude of beautiful North Devon. Tucked on the outskirts of Bideford, this delightful bijou cottage is the perfect escape for two along with two waggy-tailed companions. Unleash your inner explorer and discover the fantastic sights of the nearby coastline, navigating cliff-top trails and stretches of pooch-friendly beaches. Round off your day with a fresh fish supper in a charming seaside village, washed down with local ale. The bubbling hot tub awaits your return, alongside a welcoming gift of fizz and some treats for Fido!

Cosy and intimate with a contemporary flair, this property is packed with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The open-plan living area forms the heart of the cottage, where you can rest your weary paws in front of the wood burner-effect fire. Put your culinary skills to the test with an abundance of local produce in the kitchen, or perhaps you’d prefer to sizzle up a storm on the BBQ for some al fresco dining. Raise a toast together on the shingled patio, enjoying the views of the surrounding countryside. The only thing missing is a washing machine, but nearby Bideford has a friendly launderette if this is needed.

From the cobbled streets of Clovelly, 12 miles away, to the imposing magnificence of Hartland Quay, 17 miles away, there’s plenty to explore along the rugged coastline. Your beloved hound will have a ball playing on dog-friendly beaches such as Instow, 4 miles away, and receiving a warm welcome at the nearby pubs which often have biscuits and water bowls for special guests. The town of Bideford itself is just a mile away down a steep hill, offering a variety of cafes, shops and access to the Tarka Trail for scenic walks and cycling.

Beautiful & easy to access location, perfect for two view of the river & hillsides. The hosts couldn't have been better, suprised us with just married banners, chocolate & prosecco, but left us to ourselves unless we needed them. Perfect getaway!

Tarka View is a romantically situated cottage at the top of a hill overlooking the Taw river and Tarka trail; the cottage is small but perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all. With the town accessible by walking or lots of beach walks 10-15 minutes drive away it was the perfect spot for us.
