Plan long dog walks out across the beautiful Devon countryside from this inviting barn-style country cottage near Challacombe. Up to four guests and two of their four-legged friends will savour the space at this two-bedroom holiday home. Explore the 1500 acres of the working farm on which the single-storey property is set. Pups and people alike will wander in to find themselves in a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Light the wood burner here on chilly evenings; throw open the French doors on sunny days to let the pups pad outside. Prepare tasty treats for your hungry hounds in the kitchen and cook for the rest of your party in here too before serving up at the table then settling down in front of the Smart TV. Find a handy WC, plus a washing machine and tumble dryer, for damp doggy towels, in the utility room. As night falls, take a couple of steps down to the sleeping area, where there are two super-king-size bedrooms, one that can be arranged as twins in advance. The family bathroom is also here. Let the pups frolic out in the enclosed garden in the morning, and light the BBQ and/or the outside wood burner in the evening, where you can also enjoy the fantastic views in the newly fitted wood fired hot tub. You’ll find parking for two cars.
Head off for a scenic walk then return via the pub in Challacombe where they will not only welcome your happy hounds but will even indulge them with a few special doggy treats. Plan trips to the coast, about 10 miles away. Let the pups run free on the beaches at Lynmouth throughout the whole year. Take a trip up the cliff railway to Lynton, where your furry friends can hop aboard too.
