This superb beach hut-style bungalow, situated just 1.5 miles from Woolacombe beach, is an ideal holiday home for you and your family – including your loyal canine! Sleeping six across three welcoming bedrooms and plenty of space in the lounge/diner for the pup to relax, you could all soon be heading down the hill to enjoy the beach and the selection of pubs, shops and restaurants available in town. If you’re quite happy staying in one afternoon, take advantage of the fabulous sea views from the lounge or pop out into the garden to soak up some sun.

The property, which sits in an elevated position, is bright and airy with an open-plan style living area. Calming blue tones of the sea remind you of the views just outside the door, while comfy sofas in the lounge area invite you to sit back and look out on the garden from the large French doors. You’ll find everything you need to cook up a storm for breakfast in the kitchen, ready to fuel you for a day’s worth of walking along the South West Coast Path and beyond with your hound in tow.

You’re in an ideal spot to enjoy the sandy beach at Woolcombe, but there’s much more to do further afield. If you’d prefer a stroll inland, Exmoor National Park (12 miles) is a must; climb the moors and take in the spectacular views all around you. Just 5 miles away is the town of Ilfracombe which prides itself on being dog-friendly, and you can catch a boat to Lundy Island from the harbour to explore some of the fantastic wildlife there. If you’d prefer a civilised walk, let the hound lead the way around Arlington Court’s (12 miles) carriage museum and gardens.

Charming, comfortable & well equipped with a perfect layout & wonderful views. The steep approach did beat this 10,000 steps a day granny, unused to long steep hills, but the rest of the family ran or walked down, along the beach & back again every day, often twice.

Beautiful cottage to high standard with panoramic views across Woolacombe Bay and Lundy Island. Plenty of walks nearby albeit strenuous ones and nature at its best. Very quiet rural location.

We had a lovely week at this property. Really clean, comfortably furnished and very well equipped. Lovely well equipped cottage in a beautiful location with stunning views. Very warm welcome with cake, prosecco, biscuits, tea and flowers on arrival for the humans and an amazing basket of goodies for the dog - very nice touches. Lovely walks from the property - choose route wisely to avoid very steep climbs back to the cottage!

Great as a base for those wishing to visit Woolacombe. The lane to the village can be walked but is extremely steep without pavements and few passing places, a car is highly recommended. The cottage was spotless and the owners kindly provided treats for the family and even our dog, including fresh flowers and a bottle of Prosecco. Location is quietRead more and peaceful. The small but pretty garden is lovely for sunset drinks. Advisable to bring essential groceries as local shops are expensive. Hide

We had a lovely week at Surfs Up despite the very changeable weather. The bungalow is in a quiet position with good parking and a garden. It was great to have the opportunity to bring a dog. Lovely bungalow, excellent location, stunning views, we were greeted by a really nice welcome pack too! The house was in a beautiful location overlooking the beach - about 1km walk. It was on a hill but it only took us about 15 minutes to walk (would recommend the asphalt road if taking a buggy - the footpath across the fields is slightly less steep, although 600m longer). Only two minutes' walk from the amenities at the neighbouring holiday park, buRead moret we had no disturbances at all. There were four adults and two young children in our family group - we all loved it and would come back again. Hide
