This tastefully modernised ground-floor apartment has spectacular views of the pretty seaside village of Portreath, and of the sandy beach. This is a great setting, in a lively village with pubs and shops nearby and a prime location on the north coast of Cornwall. Four people can sleep comfortably across two inviting bedrooms, with up to two dogs in equally cosy quarters. Dogs are allowed on Portreath beach between 7pm and 7am in the summer, but anytime between October 1st and Easter.
You can delight in stunning sea views from the windows while taking breakfast or enjoying your evening meal in the open-plan dining area. You can even admire the twinkling lights across the dusky skyline while you are relaxing in the lounge in the evening, perhaps while you're watching TV with DVD. There is an attractive patio area offering more spectacular views, where you can sip a coffee or glass of wine and take in the refreshing sea air.
There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the town, The Waterfront Arms, Portreath Arms and Atlantic Cafe Bar offer well-reputed food at lunchtime and during the evening throughout the summer. There are some lovely walks for you and your canine companions on the Godrevy Heritage Coast (6 miles) where, although there are summer restrictions on the main beach, dogs are welcome at nearby Godrevy Cove (5.5 miles). To the north, Chapel Porth (7 miles) has a myriad of walkways where there are caves and old tin mines to explore, although the main beach has summer restrictions for dogs.
