Less than a mile from the heart of the busy market town of Brecon, this light and spacious property is a wonderful base for a family or group of friends seeking a lovely holiday home with great views.

This spacious property, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, sleeps ten guests and two dogs. The beautiful town of Brecon (less than 1 mile), with its narrow streets and gorgeous canal, is the ideal place for a lazy afternoon stroll with the pups, with plenty of dog-friendly eateries where you can stop to refuel. Alternatively, enjoy a waterside walk at Llangorse Lake, just 6 miles from the property.

The large home boasts fabulous countryside views and features two cosy lounge areas, meaning there’s ample room for you and the hounds to spread out and find your own little spot to relax. Enjoy film nights arounds the TV or curl up with a book whilst the hounds stretch out in front of the wood burner. The huge kitchen diner has plenty of room for the dog beds and on a warm day you can open the patio doors so they can potter in and out of the enclosed garden. Outside, they’ll love having a good sniff before chasing around on the lawn, whilst you relax with a glass of bubbly in the lazy spa or fire up the BBQ.

You’ll find many routes perfect for dog walks in and around Brecon, from a peaceful amble along the towpath of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal to a day-long hike following the Taff Trail, which runs all the way to Cardiff. If it’s spectacular views you’re after, look no further than Pen y Fan (11 miles away). A climb to the summit will take you to the highest point in Southern Britain, striding across wild, open moorland with red kites cruising overhead. LLangorse Lake provides a great family day out, with some gorgeous waterside walks.

A lovely cottage. We all had a great stay and would recommend this cottage without hesitation. This is a great base from which to explore the Brecons in all its beauty.

Lovely house with lots of room for everyone. We were a family of six including a three year old and two dogs. We used the hot tub extensively (thank you to the owners for extending its use for the duration of our stay) and we lit the log burner each evening. We played board games and explored Brecon, the waterfalls and Penderyn. It was a perfect hoRead moreliday home. Hide

The house was lovely; tidy, clean and well presented. We did not need to use all of the facilities (spa, BBQ) but what we did use all worked as it should. We had a very comfortable stay and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
