A gem of a cottage, with wonderful walks to enjoy nearby with amenities such as a pub and shop just down the road. Nestle in front of a cosy fire after an evening relaxing in your own private hot tub.

This charming, traditional cottage on the fringes of the Peak District is the perfect romantic bolthole for two. With an abundance of beautiful country walks on its doorstep, it is a walkies paradise for up to two four-legged friends. You’re sure to adore evenings in the private hot tub, while your pups roam free in the enclosed patio.

Step inside this gem of a cottage and you’ll find a cosy and contemporary open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that’s bathed in natural light. After a great day hiking in the hills, snuggle up with your loved one on the lounge area’s sofa while your pups gently snore in front of the wood burner. Alternatively, spend your evening soaking in the hot tub with a nice glass of chilled wine in the private courtyard. At the end of a romantic day in the countryside, head upstairs for a good night’s sleep in the spacious bedroom where the plush decor adds a serious hint of glamour.

If you’re looking for a dog walk that’s almost all off-lead, check out Black Rocks in Cromford (1.5 miles). You’ll be rewarded with some very happy pups and some great views of the Derwent Valley. Further afield, Crich Tramway Village (6.5 miles) welcomes four-legged family members and has recently been recommended as a dog-friendly venue by the Dogs Trust. In the evening, the pretty market town of Wirksworth (1.5 miles) has a number of cosy dog-friendly pubs to enjoy a pint in—if you can drag yourself away from the cottage.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautiful cottage. Ideally located for walkers; some great routes within short driving distance. Hot tub is on the front as no rear garden so little exposed, not 100% private, but enough coverage so it didn't stop us from enjoying it every day. Great cottage with everything you could need, home from home. The stairs up to the bedroom are very steepRead more. All in all a lovely 1 week break away, would recommend. Hide

The hot tub was working on the saturday night due to something that the owners are aware can go wrong but didn't inform us of. It was a real shame. There's also no corkscrew there! So don't forget to bring your own! Otherwise it was lovely, finished to a really high standard and great location. Fab shower!

Stowe Cottage was perfect for our second honeymoon, with our two dogs. Location perfect (parking was a potential problem but not experienced); cottage - well it was perfect for us and the owners could not be more welcoming or helpful during our stay. Loved the wood burning stove (need to open the flu - pull silver knob & turn black disc for a greatRead more fire) and the hot tub...It may at first feel a little exposed to passers by but the location offers privacy. Fab!!! Cant wait to return. Hide
